That D isn't as good as it was... Sadly I think the 'Hawks are an average team now, that Super Bowl loss kind of screwed them in more ways then one. If they get that touchdown on that last play of the Super Bowl, they don't go out and get Jimmy Graham and maybe they don't let go Maxwell and others.

If you claim a player off waivers you have to keep them in the NHL, or expose them to waivers again to send them down. So unless you plan to keep them in the NHL there's no point, otherwise the team you claimed them from will just re-claim them...

lots of potential in the beginning. Had a few good years then went downwards fast.

A good lesson to the young players (but not about May ray)....DONT party your $ away in the beginning, it may destroy your career....never know when your decline will hit.

Loving the team so far. All 4 lines looking great...lots of 2nd line shots so far, pp looking dangerous, Cracknell lookin good on the bottom six.

Devil is in the defense. Liking the core as a whole a lot more than last year, but it's still our achillies heel. I'm a perennial Hamhuis hater (though he was the best Dman in the playoffs), and his -2 last night and wonderful hit on Bartowski is not helping matters.

Also not sure who we'd send down if we picked up another Dman re: Irwin...
