Speaking of bubble teams...how's Brooklyn looking in comparison to the rest of the division? |

Had to go there didn't you? It's fine. Let me preface by saying that despite him being a Philly, I actually have been a Utley fan and think he is a borderline Hall of Famer.
The slide/tackle was late. In my opinion, per the rules and the decision that was handed down yesterday, it should have been ruled interference and a double play. I disagree that the throw took away the neighborhood play, allowing the review and overturned force, because as seen by the replay, the throw was right by the bag. In addition, despite the angles, I have seen, I don't know if Utkey could have reached back and touch the bag, due to the lateness of the hit and where it took place.
I don't believe there was intent to injure. But in this case, intent shouldn't matter match. It seems to be a clear violation of a rule that should be enforced more but isn't. The hit on Kang by Coghlan also should have been punished but wasn't, but two wrongs don't make a right.
I think the league suspended him to avoid a media circus and possible on field incident. Now, how the heck can you not have a hearing before Wednesday? This has become more of a farce.
I hope Harvey shuts out the Dodgers as does Matz and the Mets win the series. Get revenge by winning, Retaliation can come in the future. - airjan23
I actually can't argue with any of this. I pretty much agree. Utley has always played the game hard, don't think he had any intent to injure him either. But yea it was a bad slide, so him getting suspended is a smart decision |

Oilers look more tidy defensively at the start. Talbot will be good for the Oilers. Only a matter of time until McVader starts to put it all together. |

Oilers still get hemmed into their own zone for too long. Hard to score from way the (frank) back there. |

So if that was the ruling, that should have been the case that night. Making it a double play and a 2-1 lead after 7 innings. But Mets bullpen imploded anyway. |

Don't worry, it's gonna come down to Kershaw in game 4 and he will blow it. The dude is so good, but he can't win in the playoffs. |

They are embarrassing the Jets right now. Its 3-1 but the score doesn't reflect how bad the Jets look. They will be in the playoffs at the end.
Now the penguins start has been absolutely hilarious. |

I am ok with that and Hank looks great off the hop. Raanta needs to play eventually though. |

Oh my, Rangers are such a power house and are so deep, with snipers like D Moore playing 4 th line because there are just too too many super stars ahead of him... btw, All the Met cry babies boo hoo with Utley... Its ok our superstar, Chris Krapper takes out the best goalie in the world, Price, in the playoffs 2 years ago,, but that's ok.....
Plan the parade boys. tee hee.... until we see the King (of nothing) put on his sad face at the end of the year again.... |
