Rags and Pens losing, nights off to a fine start
edit: both lost, and the Caps are about to as well - BiggE
Devil's lose as well.
And Edmonton getting whipped. I enjoy seeing them suck after they swore that McDavid there savior was going to bring them back to the playoffs. Than they gave up 2 picks which could if been barzal sprong or something a long those lines for reinhartd |

I just had a tomato sandwich as a reward for getting through 3 lectures.
Nice hunk of tomato with mayo, salt and pepper. Can't beat it folks. |

Any thoughts on San jose.
They got rid McLellan.
They got rid niemi.
Matt jones has been good but questions if he's a real number 1.
They've been dominant.
So... good luck with that Edmonton see you at the lottery drawing - Tfaehner
niemi got a shut out in his first game this season. just sayin'. |

I believe some of this thinking is why Manning is getting an extended look.
But with Manning they really don't know what he can do. I feel with VLC they know all too well.
Just my opinion. |

You might be right. I don't think anyone on this roster has been perfect so far.
If it isn't Vinny, I would really like to know who the worst skating active player in the league is. |

I've enjoyed watching Laughton. He injects speed and energy into the lineup.
Medvedev has very good puck skills, but is still learning the D part in the NHL.
But both of them have been fun to watch.
I truly feel bad for Umberger, he looked like a viable (if way overpaid) player the first game. |

Why play a guy who really seems to have nothing left, just to play him? Lecavalier has looked cooked for the last season and a half, if not longer. It sucks for Vinny, it sucks for the Flyers, but if you're sure that a guy isn't the answer, it's a waste of time trying to find a question that suits him.
Besides, there's nobody in the top 9 I'd sit for him, and by the looks of it, Hakstol agrees. I had high hopes for Lecavalier myself, but I can't see any legitimate reason he should be playing. |

I liked Gagner last night. I thought he played better than he did in preseason, still not great away from the puck, but he seemed a lot more active than he did for most of the pre-season games I saw him in. |

If Gagner had been invisible last night, I honestly would've feared for his career.
One game doesn't change the world, and there's a long way to go. But I was wondering if there's a light bulb in there to turn on, when two of the worst teams in the league wanted nothing to do with you and you're a healthy scratch for the first two games of the season on your third team in 18 months
