Just a tad too soon for that. TDL and placement in the standings will determine much but we need Vrbata and hammer in the lineup for now. JB can make room for Lucic in the summer if he needs to. Higgins can go anytime. But we really need to be looking to get some return for Burrows. Hopefully he flirts with 15-20 goals so his value is higher but I think those days are past. Hansen and Edler are another matter altogether. Hansen is workable enough over all the lines but as is with Burrows...we need to look at getting some return on Edler as well and there are Eastern teams still very interested in Edler. - LordHumungous

Don't be so quick to judge. The Comets could always use a power forward. |

Oh Lord, no.
What I am impressed with so far is the work effort every night, every shift. Guys like Burrows and Hansen may not have the skill set so much anymore, but they work their patooties off, really setting a good example for the rookies on the team of what it takes to play at this level. They're not going to win every game obviously but if they put that kind energy into every game, then I'm happy to watch. - we_are_all_canucks
I hear you I just like to poke the bear on Lucic. To be quite honest I think JB will have moved past him for next season. If our youth and prospects continuw to infuse the energy they do there will be no need for Lucic. But I do like what Lucic would bring here even in a diminished role...just going to cost way too much. |

Just caught the hilites from last nights tilt on FOX Sports...announcers still thought Ehrhoff was a Canuck and kept using his name during the hilites...
Well done FOX! - LordHumungous

Edmonton does need a player like him. Even if he is just around to be a rig he is a thug that can play top 9 and keep the kids safer.
If the contract is not to huge I could live with him on the canucks.
Even If it's only because I think he'd rather the blues win the presidents cup then the red wings.

It makes to much sense
There is the obvious PC connection. The Oilers need for a mean guy in their top 6, and the obvious need of a culture shake up. |

Oilers should have traded RNH, Yakupov and Eberle last year. They are soft players who will be injury prone for their careers. |

It wouldn't shock me, but it would make me nervous if I was an Oiler fan. Then again, it's not likely to make them worse. |

I was thinking the same, if he cost $2m or less I would consider him in the bottom 6 as a replacement for Prust. He could be netfront on PP and bring intimidation, but in no way would I pay a cent more nor give him any icetime more than 3rd line minutes. Expectations for him being an impact player have dropped dramatically in recent years |

Exactly but it would have to be at the hometown discount and make sense financially. |

Great photo
Based on the polar opinions around here on Lucic, I cant tell if you think $2m is overpayment, or there is no way in hell he would take $2m. I am of the opinion he wouldn't bother coming for that price and I am really ok with it. Just stating what I would offer and would move on if it wasnt accepted |
