Nice gesture by Zibanejad. Empty net or not, Ryan could use a number in the G column. |

Yep, real good forwards, but their defense is not good. Still early of course,.
I thought their D would be problems for them this year. |

I had the same thought. Watching them break down the ice I was saying for him to Give it to Ryan!
Figured he would, hockey players tend to do that.

Brilliant game by Karlsson. It seems that his play is more controlled and paced to better fit within the overall team game. So, you see less spectacular rushes. But at the end of the night he has racked up 4 assists and dominated play when he is on the ice. An absolute marvel to watch.

dam i missed the last few mins (stupid pvr.... stops recording when sometimes there's some stuff left)
thoughts on sens: Lazar is such a gamer - no stick on PK with a smile LOL
Stone is....a hockey players' hockey player. great pass behind the net
Karlsson.... played great
Team takes too many penalties and needs to play tighter defensively
Goaltending could be better too - Andy behind the net that's a no-no

You can adjust thtat if that in the settings if it's because the game is going late. |

IMO for the most part, I have no problem with the penalties called because the sens played so horrible. They were a step behind, looked sluggish, had 0 compete level, and Montreal deserved to win. Montreal played a great game without Price, and I was extremely impressed with their up tempo play and there tenacious forecheck. If I'm a Montreal fan, I'm excited for what they can do this year with price looking like his all star self. If Montreal can pick up a top 6 forward at the deadline, I think they can do some damage this year. - karlssens
I also don't feel the need to make excuses for the team when we were handed a schedule loss.
Any team playing a solid roster like Montreal on the second half of a back to back is probably going to lose. I think Yost had an article where he showed something like 80% of teams who played the night before lose to teams who've had one or more days of rest.
The only time it doesn't happen is when you're looking at a top 5 team on a back to back versus bottom 5 team on rest. |
