It still looks wrong though. I guess the difference is that you could be severly hung over and still play a decent game of baseball.

I didn't like that about baseball back then, the most teams had been eliminated by June.

Actually that was one of the great things about baseball IMO. Truly the top teams went to the playoffs because they had earned it over 162 games. The pennant races were the playoffs back then and every bit as exciting (if not more) than todays current playoff system for baseball. One game wildcards is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. Teams bust their asses all season to get eliminated in one game. Then we have a 5 game series in the first rd when it should be 7. I get the need for more revenue and such and the desire for more teams in the playoffs but the current system really sucks.

Fair enough, I disagree. A team that got off to a rough start but then gets it together down the stretch adds an exciting element to the races.

I don't get why nucker is handed superstars. How the (frank) can one guy in a 16 man pool have Crosby, Stamkos, Kane, Ovechkin, Hall and Benn???

Not to mention Drouin, Bennett, Eberle and Forsberg...
