Besides the obvious, Byfuglien, which I really hope is not the target, who might the Flyers be interested in, on Winnipeg? - MJL
Ehlers, Morrissey, Trouba, Connor. |

I was looking for a more realistic target. Anybody can just list another team's top prospects and young players. What deal makes sense, is what I was getting at. To get any of those players, the Flyers would have to put Konecny, Provorov, etc in play. |

Adam Lowry seems like somebody Hexy would covet.

I was being facetious. Anyone the Flyers trade among those we could see being dealt wouldn't yield more than a middle round pick. Unless the Flyers make a huge deal. Even if someone like Baby Schenn was traded, I don't know what we'd get from Winnipeg. Burmistrov and a pick? Unless it's a blockbuster, it's probably just a draft pick in return. |

So yeah, Max Domi is looking all kinds of incredible -- Jags was gushing about him to TSN the other day, saying he should be getting more of the attention that's being thrown at McD/Eichel.
Domi went 12th-overall in 2013 -- no pressure Sammy boy. |

I'm just trying to figure out where the fit is, if it's not Byfuglien, then whom, assuming Hextall doesn't want to trade his top prospects, and Winnipeg doesn't either, what makes sense?

Thought you'd have thrown a Duclair reference in there. Who'd we take again? |

In all seriousness Elhers would be the guy I go after. But I doubt they move him.
I would consider Ladd but they'd need to take back a good chunk of money from our cap. |

Ladd doesn't make sense at all for the Flyers in my opinion.
Prepared to give up Konecny, Provorov, etc for Elhers? |

No to Provorov. Would consider quite a few other guys though (prospects and roster players)
And like I said, Ladd only makes sense if we're sending back a nice chunk of change. |

From Winnipeg's perspective, Ladd is a good player, on an expiring contract, who if they wanted to, they could trade at the deadline to a contender for a really nice return. Why would they take one of the Flyers perceived cap issues, in a trade of Ladd?
What prospects would you consider? I think it would take a lot to pry Ehlers off their hands |

I will say Ladd is a year older than I thought he was. That makes me a little more hesitant. I'd still sooner take him over Buff tho... |

Yeah, its not a likely deal for Ladd. Just a guy I really like and would help this team out in a huge way under different circumstances.
For Ehlers its tough because I don't know what the Jets value him at. And Chevy has made so few moves I don't know what kind of deal he'd be looking for but I'd offer a good deal of quality going back(excluding G, Jake, Coots, Provy, Ghost and Sanhiem)
Call me crazy but what would things look like if we offered Simmonds+ and committed to BSchenn as a RW? Slot Ehlers in at LW. The PP will take a hit from the loss of Simmonds but that could be just the move to balance out thing 5 on 5.
I know that wouldn't be a popular move. Just an idea. |

Ehlers is on par w/, or even ahead of, Provorov in terms of trade value.
You'd have to give Simmer + a blue chip prospect, probably. Not worth it, IMO. |

Other than getting younger, how good is Elhers going to be? Wayne Simmonds is a very good player, with a great contract. I think Wayne Simmonds is and could be a better 5 on 5 player in the right circumstances. I don't view him as a PP specialist like others do. |

And a better track record in the health department hopefully.
Speaking of Konecny where do we all expect him to end up in the NHL? RW? Is there any shot he could switch to LW? With Simmonds and Schenn both failing to really translate their games to the left side its going to cause quite the logjam. |

Yeah, no sense in trading (for) anybody right now, tbh.
Just keep growing as a team -- wait for the kids to trickle in. |
