I'd do it for Sanheim, not Provorov. Because flavor of the month. - jmatchett383
Yeah, I hear ya, but Trouba is a sure fire top pair guy. As much as I love both Provorov and Sanheim, they are not. |

Prospects are unknowns. Most of ours won't turn into what we hope they will. Sanheim is someone with a very high ceiling but will take quite some time to have an NHL impact for a franchise that is close but already has a log jam he'd be a guy that would allow them to reshuffle some the cards in a few years. Trouba would be our leader and top guy. He'd grow with the rest the prospects but would ramp up our defensive rebuild. I'd say he's worth every penny if we can get out of giving a first rounder - Tfaehner
I think a 1st (top-3/top-5 protected) would have to go in the deal. |

Pretty much what I figured. - BiggE
They did not go to the Chicago game at the capitals rather he went to islanders game last night. You would figure if he was scouting them he would of done a follow up game the next night. Especially since nobody in there top 6 is available and chicago played the bottom 6 very little |

This is what I'd offer:
2016 1st (top 3 protected), if we pick top 3, they get our next non top 3 1st
Sanheim
Simmonds
Aube-Kubel
If that's not enough, I'd upgrade Aube-Kubel to Konecny

I'd be willing to the deal that I figured the Jets would want, provided the 2016 pick was top 3 protected. I think Trouba is worth a lot, but I'm not going to risk the slim chance of losing a shot at Matthews in the deal. - BiggE
Yeah that's fair, I guess.
To be honest, I have never been good at hypothetical trades. It's always skewed one way or another. |

Yeah who knows, this early in the season, they may just be scouting teams in general. Ek's "rumors", to me, seem more like wild guesses and speculation most of the time.

I wouldn't want to trade 2 prospects and simmonds for one player. Especially when it's not a player that once you have them, puts you over the top. |

OR just an unprotected 2017 1st rounder. You would have to hope by than our franchise would be a comfortable playoff team. It would be 3 full years of hextall.
I wouldn't trade konecky. I'd hope that either a 2nd rounder or 3rd rounder could be in there instead. Or even raffl or matt read. |

I remember watching him a couple of times when i was following the London Knights because of Stolarz. They had Domi, Bo Horvat, and Mitch Marner all together on that team - Yosimar89
They had Maata and Zadorov for a year too |

I in no way believe anything like this is imminent. I'm just adamant that at some point hextall will make a trade for a young impact nhl player. Trouba has been a player I've long coveted. So naturally when Winnipeg comes up I go for him |

Yeah, it would, but the Jets have no real reason to be moving Trouba. To get him, like I said earlier, you would have to massively overpay.

I wouldn't want to give up 2 roster forwards with the weak middle 6 we have right now. That would certainly be a scary sight.
But then again, I'm looking at it for this year, not the next 3+ years, which this trade would be geared towards. |

Oh, for sure. It makes sense from the Jets standpoint. This is why I don't think the Flyers would make this trade. I don't know if I would be opposed to it, I would have to see the actual deal. |

Yeah, if I'm Chevy, I'm insisting on Provorov, Konecny, Simmonds and the 2016 1st. Like I said, he has no reason to want to move Trouba.
Face it, this deal ain't happening.

It's like this. How often do you get a 21 year old 6'3 210 lb right handed defenseman who is both agile and physical? It'd cost a lot but it would certainly be worth iit if we could move players who are not core members. |

Lets keep in mind that Chevy is notoriously scared to pull the trigger on just about anything. Kane deal aside the Jets just dont make trades. They develop from within and with the prospects they have they, there isn't much of a reason to be dealing with us. |

Would have to be a great return but it's not out of the realm of possibilities. |
