They have a number of things in common, but the thing that stands out most for me, is how calm they both are, at ALL times. - hscesq
Lundqvist tends to lose focus at times but, in the clutch, he always seems to elevate his game to another level. Coming off last season, Price has established himself as probably the best player in hockey. As underrated as Montreal is, overall, Price's play makes them elite and a cup contender. |

Penguin broadcast team is truly the bottom of the barrel. Errey and Steigerwald sound like two Penguin fans watching from a dive bar . - MidnightMarauder
It's painful. They are definitely the worst. |

They are underrated because they don't blow anybody out. Almost all of their games are close, which is NOT good for my heart as I get older. But they play a very disciplined game. Heck, I even saw Semin backcheck against the Pens!!! |

Yep. Won first four on the road. First time it's ever happened. Not the stiffest competition mind you, but still a nice start. - hscesq
Four wins are four wins. These days, not too many awful teams in the NHL. Maybe a handful at most are truly terrible hockey teams. There are a myriad of average teams but those are the type that can sneak up and beat any other NHL team on any given night. |

Coach Therrien makes his players do the Ric Flair: sweat, bleed and pay...the...price.

I am just wondering, if we are going to crown Duclair after a hot start, do we get to crown Oscar Lindberg as well. You know the guy that Sather got for Ethan Werek. Just curious. Can we do that?
And, I am still a believer that a trade can work out for both teams involved in the trade. Duclair is a very good prospect, but Yandle isn't some scrub. I also think it is worth mentioning the buying power that the Rangers achieved for drafting well (as Duclair was a 3rd round pick). If you don't draft well, you have less assets. If you have less assets, it's hard to pull off trades of the likes of the Yandle trade to make yourself better. |

He probably just went straight from Toronto to Montreal. It's the same distance as going from NY to Montreal (approx). And the food's better in MTL. Everything is better in MTL than TO, actually. - hscesq
Hey, one of my dreams is to still see a Ranger/Habs game in Montreal, love the atmosphere & history of your franchise....the team itself? Not so much. |

I don't think Coyotes fans(do they have any?) are lamenting giving up Lindberg for Ethan Werek.
I agree Pete sometimes, juuuuust sometimes, trades work out for all teams involved. |

Yandle is close to skill level to Letang.
Do you think Duclair and a 1st would be fair value for Letang? - rangerdanger94

I get it. I don't much like your team either. I like a few players though, and I love the coach. If you get a chance, go see a game there. I enjoy watching a game here every time I go to MSG, whether it's against the Habs or not. They are two awesome places to see games and the fanbases are VERY similar. |

Most teams that don't bust their tails lose in the NHL. Teams that work hard often beat teams that don't. |

The Garden post 1994 to me has just never been the same, but its gotten worse since the major renovations a few yrs back, WAY too many suits who are just there to drink & talk business w their other suit friends. |

I don't think that is totally laughable, but I am not a big Letang guy. I think he withers in the playoffs a little, gets taken out of his game real easily in games that matter, and really doesn't play much (considering he is always hurt). I think the hype is bigger than the reality for that player, not to mention his cap hit is 3 times more than Yandle's this year (realizing that that will change this summer).
In the playoffs, I would rather have a certain defensemen that is constantly killed by the advanced stats people over Letang.
