ZZ top did the same thing with Eliminator and Afterburner, recorded at the same time with the same producer just released 2 years apart to milk the audience.

Sellout is the word

- A_SteamingLombardi

lol...fair enough but that was only over a few albums. ZZ Tops career and contributions span much more than Afterburner and Eliminator. They were actually pretty diverse before that (yes blues based rock) but at least it wasn't mindnumbingly repetitive. Tres Hombres, Rio Grande Mud, Fandango and a few other albums prior to Eliminator for sure showed what the band was capable of before the early 80's. With Nickelback it has been a constant milking process that has pretty much begun from day 1. Plus the process has never changed because the formula has worked so well...which in turn breeds mediocrity. I would just like to see a change in their 'process' someday and see if they can write and actual heavy metal/rock record. I believe they could do it.

It will be exciting next year with all the cap space and more new players coming up .

Canucks have a chance for a home run.

Say no to bringing back Hammer

I think Bartowski and Hutton will push Hammer out of a job by the end of the season.

Totally different players imo.
Tanev is the Hammer replacement.

Couple of good 43rd birthday wins for my California trip. I found the Ducks fans actually to be classy, and fairly fun to talk hockey with. They were good hosts.

LA....meh. To the botoxed, fake tanned, cosmetically enlarged blonde who stuck her middle finger in my face when the Canucks scored their fist goal: sit down, your embarrassing yourself, and bring your whole city down.

Nickleback doesn't have the talent or the will to do it, they soldout to early.

Change the width and height numbers to minimum 400 and 200 respectably. You can do that after you paste it in here.

Thanks.

Hammer had been our best defenceman so far this season, maybe Tanev but I'd call it to close to call.

They are one of Canada's great all time rock bands and Canadians for some reason hate them. I celebrate greatness and love their music. Every single song they put out is a hit, pretty hard to do that.
- Scooby_Doo

The Jonas Brothers had lots of hits too.
Do you consider them an all time great band?
How about the top selling group ever, The Cast of Glee.

Hit songs doesn't equal greatness. Especially in the iTunes era, where 14 year olds determine the charts.

I don't hate Nickelback the way many do, but let's not confuse an O.K. pop/rock band with a great band because of their record sales and airplay.

I have mixed feelings about Hamhuis. He sets a good example and is usually solid where he is. Would rather move Bieksa err, Garri, err, Sbisa... I'd rather have Hamhuis in than Sbisa and even Weber.

Who moves up to the second pairing if you move Hamhuis?

Is it
Edler Tanev
Bartkowski Weber
Sbisa Hutton

Or are you just thinking next season with 2-3 spots open if Hamhuis, Bartkowski all ufa beyond this season?

This team will have had quite the turnover in the next couple seasons. An interesting ride for sure.

You can see him slowing down. You will have 15 mil in space and a few prospects that have no room on the Canucks . go trade for your young stud Dman

And please don't confuse nickleback for a rock band, they are an excellent pop group. I do not like them, they ate sell outs passion and simple. But they are pop stats not rock stars. They remind me of offspring, I loved offspring, but once they found their formula with keep em separated, they had one hit single with the same guitar riffs and beats off of every album they have made.

What would it take to pry Gudbranson from our favourite trading partners the Panthers?

He's big, young and RFA next year.

edit - and I mean in the off-season

If he's a RFA next year all it would take would be $$. I don't want to give up assets for someone we can just sign in the off season, unless it's Higgins, Burrows, Hamhius, Vrbata or Prust.
