You find the quote for me where I didn't want him
Stop making stuff up. I liked him, just grew tired of the se mistakes. I find it quite amusing the you of all people refuse to admit he didn't adjust after complaining that AV wouldn't. And I agree AV deserved to be fired...... - Bieksa#3
You just brought up his failure in the playoffs twice. This is the only reason you have given us... why would I have to look for any quotes... you said it all in this thread.

That bad coach got a non-playoff team in the playoffs last year. Let's give him a little time to see how he can help develop the youth...doesn't look too bad so far in that capacity with Horvat, Hutton, McCann and Virtanen. WD has shown at every level he can bring youth along. People panicking over line juggling in gm 5 is ridiculous. - LordHumungous

How bad did Vey look the majority of the time last yr. He repeatedly played him in all situations and made the other young guys earn it. |

You fabricated the quote so how why would I search for something I never claimed you said ffs?... I was talking about you not thinking he was good enough to get us in the playoffs... thats what we've been talking about right....
You really want me to go back and look for you saying we were not going to make the playoffs? Are you going on record right now claiming you said we would make the playoffs?

Too bad. He's a very versatile, speedy player, solid on any line but the 1st. |

I'm sure if WD was juggling 3 rookies who impressed with their first showing last season, he would have sat him.
Vey is out of the line up in favor of younger players right now and you are beefing about Vey in the line up last year. This is why I have responded... your position is so full of conflicts...
The Canucks wont make the playoffs but when they have a solid season and do make it, there is no leash what so ever for the coach who is in his 1st year here. Makes sense.
You accuse the coach for hating rookies but he has 3 on the roster... all of them getting ice time. It was the Linden era the last time we had that happen... fire the coach for mishandling our kids....lol
You accuse the coach of hating rookies and not playing them but just moments ago criticized him for giving a rookie too many chances last season... which is it?
I know you want McCann in every game but you are acting like Nucker over it. We've only played 5 games and McCann was in 3 or 4 of them I think... don't be a nucker. Relax. |

His fancy stats are actually not bad playing with the Sedins, but I agree, I would way rather have a bonafide goal scorer like Sutter on the first line |

From what I've seen through 5 games is that he is adjusting, mixing his lines within games and game to game. |

I don't know why people think Vrbada's value in a trade has gone *down* because of a slow start 5 games into a season... that's absurd...
His value isnt rising and at this pace eventually he will degrade but it's far too early to call it.... any scout would surely see he is getting glorious chances even playing with questionable line mates at times. He's had fairly consistent production through his career. Vrbada isnt one dimensional and a team would surely think he is going to find better chemistry with their guys based on how much they need scoring... GM's are like that as we all know...
I think a playoff team would part with a 1st if he starts scoring again... which is pretty likely based on the player and the chances he's missed on this season...
Will JB part with him without an idea of the playoff probability... or if they are probable would he? Thats the tough question. I'm leaning to yes because of the moves being made to get younger... playoffs are gravy. Vrbada is no Mathias... you shouldnt let him walk... this is why I supported bringing in top UFA's...
I think a playoff team would give a very good defensive prospect up for a package of Edler and Vrbada. Hows that for a mouth watering package?

We also thought we would get a first for Bieksa and a second for Lack ( myself included) and we didn't. I think we will get a second for Vrbata |

if vrbata gets himself on a 30 goal pace again he will easily get a first at the tdl. especially if we eat a bit of salary.

I don't know where to find the stats but if someone can check how many goals Vrbata got playing with the Sedins in how many games and how many without? |

I don't think the consensus was a 1st for Bieksa. I remember a few way too hopefulls saying that then met with much disagreement.
Bieksa has always had his hardcore fans who way over valued him thats for sure.
I thought maybe Lack would have gotten a 2nd... that was a pretty popular and somewhat realistic expectation. It was an early 3rd so not too far off...

I think Vrbada was pretty hot without them for a good stretch... he was producing pretty much everywhere he played at one time or another. Very solid season for us.... but ya, stats would be nice. I'm too fkn lazy for that... this is why Nucker left... he knows I'm (frank)ed without him.
