remember when I posted about vrbatta n the sedins rift 2-3 weeks back? So yes there is substance to it. I remember it happened like 2/3 rds through season last year. N vrbatta was not w them afterwards again. - SMBDragon
What was the rift about, Vrbata scored a pile of goals with them, why bite the hands that feed? |

I know right?!
I can't really recall exactly....but I think it was vague at best even last season.
But usually when the sedins can't stand someone the entire team cant stand them either. I think this one was vrbattas problem though for memory.....but who knows. |

There were slight rumblings last season when Vrbata got taken off their line but it was all conjecture, nothing was ever actually said, it was just an easy narrative to latch onto. "They can't just want to spread the scoring around, there must be drama".
As for this year, he's spent enough time with them on the PP, if he put home even one of their feeds maybe WD would consider putting him on their line.
That said, Hansen? Really? We have enough options now that we don't need to try that again. |

Interesting, so I can only guess Vrbata gets moved if he's an issue on the team. Which most here seem to want. |

a common rift in hockey circles is from trying to hone in on teammates wives. we saw it several times on the canucks over the years.
so who knows |

Ya I'd like to see JV there since the sedins have turned the on switch to go.
No I'd heard some slight details w vrbatta....cant remember it all now.
I do remember something about vrbatta being selfish and never passing to them. That he just wanted to be fed constantly so he can finish it and there'd be no sedin goals.
has burrows had time w them this year? Havent paid enough attention.... too busy w gf's lately. |

I'd like your opinion on the Bozak rumour that EK has posted, is he worth trading for and what would the trade look like? - Makita
I can't see any space on the roster for Bozak until Henrik leaves.
Canucks are set down the middle for the next two years with Hank, Bo, Sutter, McCann, Cracknell.
I hope Benning's on the phone to see what's happening out in the marketplace, and I suspect the Leafs will shuffle a lot more bodies before the Babcock era really begins in earnest, but I don't think the Canucks will make any moves until after they've made a final decision on McCann & Virtanen.

At first, I thought it was nothing when Vrbata was moved, but I've grown more suspicious that something's up the longer this goes.
NHL.com states with certainty that Vrbata will be with the twins tonight, but I have never seen writer Sean McCullen's name before, and I haven't seen this idea referenced anywhere else.
I guess we'll find out in warmup. |

If i was a betting man, i'd go with Vrby lining up with the twins tonight.
It raises an interesting question though...do you go with Hansen who has been playing well (as usual) in his 3rd line role, or do you try and get Vrbata going (which hopefully spills over to having pp success)?? |

I wonder if Vrbata had started thinking ahead to his next contract and the impact of being the Sedin's other line mate. Being the 3rd guy on that line hasn't helped anyone that has left the Canucks, they are usually seen as the beneficiary of the twin's production. I wouldn't put it past Vrbata thinking that he wanted to be on a line of his own to show his next suitors that he can be a successful point producer without relying on just being the Sedin triggerman |

First off, settle down, Vantel and I are, and have always been for the most part on very good terms. I believe the respect is mutual. Some friendly banter? Absolutely.Butthurt? Hardly.
Secondly, you may or may not have not have noticed the half dozen emoticons. Those indicate laughter, meaning, I thought the post was a good bit of fun. Not sure why or how you see me as upset.
Thirdly, settle the (frank) down, mind your own business, or simply piss off. Those are the three options you can choose from, Bubba. - Jeropotato

Benning definitely has done the right moves. Clendenning Corrado Bonino fell short of his expectations and were moved. The old management group would have kept the mediocre players , like they did with Raymond . That is why Weber is still sitting he is clearly the number 7 .
Benning seems to be the type to fill roles not positions type GM. I am liking what I am seeing - VANTEL
But isn't Benning a moron? You're messing with the narrative. |
