Sbisa, Norris and the Pizza... sounds like a new show on Fox.

Duncan Keith out 4-6 weeks

It might be the best thing to happen for the Hawks org. Win Stanley Cup, so hard to win b2b, why not miss the playoffs, get a higher draft pick, vets get rested and take another run at the cup next season..

I was thinking that or the trophy, but not sure which is more far fetched..

They need a horse or a monkey too...

a long season for sure, I am not sure about their depth on d, but they always seem to have guys that can fill in.

damn, just looked at the standings, I guess that is why everyone always talks about sample size.. Pac division looks nothing like it was predicted.

Keith is their best player and the biggest reason they won last year...

if he's out for an extended period of time or not the same on his return they'll be in trouble.

Seabrook and company can't do what this guy does...

Good starts are important, very few teams ever fall out of playoffs after American Thanksgiving

Lots of talent on the Hawks , they should be able to band aid the void

Lots of second guessing for teams throughout the season though if they are on the bubble... tdl rolls around and you are in a playoff spot or just out of it... tough decisions.

Not to pick on Toronto but weren't they in a playoff position last season before Carlyle was fired? but maybe that is not a good example.

Feckin schedules, too many days off between games at the start of the season, these little breaks would be better for the club in the spring.

Want to see Vrbata and Horvat get going... wonder how McCann would work with Vrbata?>

Good morning,

It was nice of the Canucks to take a day off while I spent a long day facilitating the democratic process on Monday. Now, we all get back to the grind together.

Here's today's new blog, musing on whether the Canucks could get better than they are right now if they send Virtanen & McCann back to junior:

Yes I think there is something to this. In the novels there is mention of a new enemy that requires learning both sides of the force...don't quote me on that though.

I really wish they would have scripted the Timothy Zahn trilogy for the sequels post Return of the Jedi. That would have truly outstanding.
