This is one reason why i think WD is the wrong coach for us. EDm getting Mclellan(however you spell his name) makes me regret not getting an interim coach and tanking last year and signing him this year, but hindsight is 20/20.
WD is also way to fast to play vets over young guys, especially when the young guys have created more offense and played a big role in your only goal. Who plays 4th line players in last 2 mins of a tied game anyways? so stupid. - Retinalz

Too late now, sink or swim the young guys need to stay up so they can be impact next year like Horvat will likely be this year. |

I think (hope) the Wings win it. The Flyers definitely choked down the drive, and the Blues are dirty cheats and are trending the game in a horrid direction -- real dead puck bully of a team. I think they're a terrible choice for the good of the league, both domestically and internationally. - NewYorkNuck

I just can't believe we lost because daniel pulled a rookie mistake, trying to get a pretty goal when a tap would have guaranteed the goal. I see Virtanen improving each game he plays, same with Hutton and Mccann. i think sending them down could stall their development at this point. |

Not to mention Henrik losing a board battle to Sekera which led to the winning goal. No way McCann loses that and doesn't hustle back. Henrik was floating back....
I can't believe Hansen is with the twins, so annoying seeing him out there with them. |

One of the biggest differences this year is that there is now Virtanen, Hutton and Mccann all looking good, but wont be able to get the development time and situations like Bo did. With Sven being almost in the same boat it is hard to have 4 guys you are really trying to develop get the right ice time and favorable situations to grow in. Some of these guys are going to have to just be ready and that could become an issue for development. But who knows, thats why I post here and not on the wipe board in the Nucks locker room. |

I think JB looks to the future and wants them to develop here, and WD wants to play vets so we can be mediocre and hopefully have a better shot at playoffs so he looks better. |

the kids line was our best line last night hands down. that can't be ignored. Mccann back checks like a pro already and shows he belongs. Hutton is better than sbisa and weber. |

Keep in mind that Bo developed nicely with 9 to 10 minutes a game most of last year. I'm not saying I like it for Jake and Jared, just saying it's not the worst thing in the world at this point. |

I dont disagree at all. But an 82 game season is long for these guys and they will be relied upon the whole time. I for one hope they are up for it.

I think Jake is playing better than Dorsett with an actual upside, whereas dorsett is what you get, he will never be any better. Mcann is showing to be a threat who deserves to be here. I think the baer-horvat-jv line needs 1 or 2 more games to see how they play.

i want to see that for our next game. but it wont happen because WD is useless. |

JV is playign for his fav team and the team he grew up watching. Mcann thought he was going to be a top 10 draft pick last year and is set out to show he should have been. They are also both used to long stretches of games in the CHL, not to this extent, but thats why you start them off with sheltered minutes and bench them when they tire from it and need a game off. didn't take Bo long to get used to it. I don't see it being a problem with them. |

The kid line looked good for sure, but they weren't our best line. Despite Daniel's missed tap in the Sedins were dominant. |

But haven't been putting enough pucks in the net for the chances they get |

too many slap passes though. We need a bure to rickter's head slapshot more regularly - like each freaking chance.... |

I didn't like the lines in ot. I think Henrik was out of steam being double shifted.
I know the rookies are still learning some of the defensive responsibilities, but would have liked to have seen McCann or Baertschi out there for the 3 v 3. The rookies at least would have been rested after that 3rd period.

There are no defensive responsibilities in 3 aside. It is pond hockey: puck control and then haul @ss to check the guy with the puck or cover the other guy. Kids would be perfect. |

Yeah I agree with all of this, McCann was unreal last night .
Just bugging you but I don't think hutton is better then Sbisa, not if Sbisa keeps on playing like he has this season. |
