White hasn't played as well this season as last so I'd have to agree. It's possible that Hakstol is thinking something similar. By sitting Umberger for a game he will then be grateful to play even if it is a "demotion" to the 4th line. I firmly believe that psychological manipulation is a part of coaching.

Competition for icetime is a good thing. They could also just be giving Umberger an extra day to make sure he is fully healed.

Agreed. Just the worst and I do that all the damned time.

I was disappointed in my performance this morning. A lack of effort like that won't be tolerated in the future.
The use of local raised eggs didn't help any. The genetic modifications of the mega farm eggs give them a stronger form.
Ultimately it's on me. I need to be more responsible and better evaluate the talent I have to work with.

I need to do a better job and put myself in a better position not to break the yolks.

Thanks Bill. I worry about the Flyers durability this season. The forwards don't scare many teams with their lack of size, and strength. I know that we wanted to get increase our team's speed, but I don't know if we have the right balance of size, and speed. I realize that we need to dump some contracts, but in the meantime we may get pushed around a little. With the Panthers up, and coming, the first game that we played against them they were very physical. I know that the Ranglers, and other teams will try to take advantage of this as well. Thus, it will be interesting to see how the players hold up during the rest of the season, and who Hexy will decide to bring up, if someone goes down. I am not trying to be negative, but I am trying to look down the road a little.

Kari Lehtonen has a poor history again the Flyers and I'm pretty sure we have an excellent history against Dallas at home. So far we are proving to be a good home team once again. With this said, Dallas has a pretty impressive balance up front. That top line looks great!

Even better. I actually really got turned on to Bloody Mary's lately. I actually get a ton of energy after drinking them.

If you really like them, I found this small company that makes a really good mix called George's Chesapeake. Try it some time.

A mix?! Who uses a mix?!

personally I would keep Gagner in the lineup over Umberger but that said, I would put Umberger in on the 4th line over VV
- nastyflyergirl

I'd play Umberger ahead of White. He's struggled with needless penalties.

I see what your saying but the fourth line has had constant pressure almost every game. I wouldn't switch it up.

So who is the Flyers 14th forward, Vinny, Taylor Leier, or Petr Straka? Injuries are inevitable with forwards, I think they would call up a Phantom next.

I like how the 4th line has played also, but I'd put in Umberger over White, if Gagner is going to stay in the lineup.
- MJL

I agree. White is the guy that's easiest to take out at the moment. Umby's a way better hockey player than him, even at this advanced stage of his career, coming off an injury.

Vinny will travel with the team and be the "emergency" 14th forward. But, as long as they can fit a player on the cap, I'd think that Cousins or Straka would be the long-term solutions.

I was off my game this morning.
Normally, I don't even use a pan.
just old the egg over flame until its done and crack it right on to the plate.
I hear Chuck can just stare at the chicken and the eggs come out perfectly cooked.
I still have ways to go.

I agree with your point, but I think Umberger is a better players. Flyers have issues with penalties, they've take 24 minors in 5 games. White has 2, Gudas is the biggest offender with 4 in 2 games.

Try Colin McDonald, Tim Brent, Chris Conner. and Aaron Pulashaj.

If I was making the decision, Lecavalier would be the permanent 14th forward, and play only in an emergency.

I don't know about Straka, reports I've heard was that he has fallen out of favor. Don't know if that has changed.
