Any idea who is getting the nod tonight? I have Mason and Neuvirth in a dynasty league and I am not sure who to start

I agree. White is the guy that's easiest to take out at the moment. Umby's a way better hockey player than him, even at this advanced stage of his career, coming off an injury.

I like the idea of Umberger on the 4th line over White, but also getting some DZ starts on the LW with the Laughton line over Gagner.

I wonder what Lecavalier's reaction would be, if the Flyers suffer injuries to 2 forwards that are more than a game or day to day, and they call up a player to insert into the lineup, ahead of Lecavalier?

12th sounds about right. Weird how his great preseason form evaporated.

VLC has looked absolutely great in camp and the preseason. He is the perfect example of professionalism and he spent this summer working harder than he ever has before…But that wasn’t all that was wrong with Vinny’s game last year. Much more had to do with the fact that finely tuned skilled players NEED to play with skilled players and Craig Berube placed Vinny on the fourth line last year…when he played him at all. This camp he has been often paired with Sam Gagner and the combo has been thrilling to watch to say the least.

I see what your saying but the fourth line has had constant pressure almost every game. I wouldn't switch it up.
- ClaudeFather

I doubt swapping in Umberger for White changes that.

I think if two forwards were out with minor injuries he would play because of the cap situation.

He looked ok in the first preseason game, then noticeably slow afterwards, not sure what Ek was watching

Probably, but if those injuries were longer than that, I would call up a player if I could. I would send a message to Lecavalier whenever I could. It's a lousy thing to do, but that's business.

Yeah it'd need a LTIR situation right now, that or risking Luke Schenn or Manning on waivers & going with 6 D-which is really unlikely

I would only use LTIR as a last resort. You could get by for a while playing Vinny seven minutes a night on the 4th line if two regular forwards got hurt, and the message that he has no future here would still be clear.

I have to keep reminding myself that the Flyers don't have anybody on LTIR.

I would play Umberger ahead of Vandevelde and keep White in the line up. Umberger and Vandevelde in my opinion are similar players.

Curious to see how Hak distributes minutes amongst the forwards tonight. He really limited the third line against Chicago.

We're banking cap space!! Not much cap space, but cap space nonetheless!

Imho, there is no need for anyone to send "a message." Both sides know the position of the other. Only time will end this relationship.
