Flyers have never been known for this...ever? Not the Flyers, no way. I'm fine with it. I love what Ryan did last night. Love it! Showing signs of life, fire and passion is never a bad thing. - SuperSchennBros
Flyers are known for taking dumb penalties at inopportune times? Yup. Doesn't mean they should keep doing it. |

I enjoyed the prequels for what they were: Movies meant to fill in some gaps, show how Darth Vader came to be
When it comes to material like that, it takes a lot for me to actively dislike it. It's not exactly War and Peace, you know?
For what it's worth, I did think the guy who played the Emperor was awesome in the prequels - AllInForFlyers
he was the same dude that played the Emperor in "Return of the Jedi" too.
Also, after watching my kid enjoy the prequels, I'm convinced they weren't made for anyone over a certain age. I'm OK with the prequels, but they have obvious weaknesses. |

As well he should have.
He was a (frank)ing pirate and the other guy was a bounty hunter.
There was zero nut to futz with that scene. Greedo had it coming. - johndewar
Exactly. Never understood why people moan about this. Why do people think Han Solo carried a blaster pistol -- to not shoot it? |

Every team in the NHL has had a number of guys do what White did last night regardless of the result. |

Surprised Lucas didn't go back and CGI the barrel of his blaster with a bright orange cap. |

Ha! Yeah. Like I said, i did enjoy them for what they were, and will definitely see the next one, but I can't say that I track a lot of the details too closely otherwise |

I am not debating whether or not it happens. I am saying it is stupid to do so when your trying to climb out of a 2-0 hole. |

I like the prequels for learning the back stories. I thought they got better as they went along, but the original 3 were definitely heads and shoulders above. |

I never really knew how that started. So Lucas didn't want Solo to be...what? A killer? How many people did that guy kill in those movies? The Millenium Falcon wasn't shooting fireworks, amirite |

Would you take Scott Hartnell (and the rest of his contract) back? - johndewar
Sure, that would be hilarious. Put him on a line with Umberger. |

They were all stun shots. Also, he only smuggled medicine to orphans and the cantina he hung out at only served apple juice. |

Yup. That's why I don't know what to expect for the new one. I have no idea what the story is about and they can do anything, since nothing comes after it. |

I don't know much, but I know enough to know that Han Solo was a bad dude who wound up doing good things |

Only reason I suggested Hartnell was that I really just wanted to test people's limits with how badly they want to be rid of Andrew MacDonald.

I want to believe Han was in that cantina with Chewy to pick up strange alien women. Hotter, stranger alien women than even Captain Kirk would shack up with.
I want to believe that he cheated in that card game with Lando when he won the Falcon.
If he's gonna be a pirate/scoundrel/etc, then be that. |

I think it's worse to let a player like Russell do whatever he wants. Was Russell the dude who took the interference on Brayden Schenn? |

Roussell (not nitpicking just clarifying). And I agree with the premise of what he should have done there, but Roussell wasn't biting and the Flyers couldn't have afforded a penalty there. He's a punk and seemed to be only willing to dance with a guy like Gagner. Have to find a way to get him back in the game if he's not going to face a player that can actually throw them. I just think he needed to excercise better decision making and hold back a bit there and skated away with just 2 min. |
