Rinaldo

Exactly why he was traded from Philly in the first place. Target on his back for the refs that he created, patented and stitched on to his jersey himself. The shame is he actually can play the game well enough to be a good fourth liner.

I hope he is suspended for as long as possible. Honestly, I hope he is tossed from the league but that won't happen.

Hard for me to take any positives from this one. The two west games were past my bedtime so this is the first game I've seen in a while. Rinaldo is a disgrace. I hope he gets suspended for half the season. Against his former team even. That's what's wrong with the league today, no respect for other players and their safety.

What was up with Kevin Miller lastnight? He played a HORRIBLE game. He seemed to have had bartkowski disease for sure. Not impressed with spooner through 6 games either. And whoever is in charge of Bruins line changes should be shot. Bad changes were responsible for at least two of the goals.

I'm usually a positive Bruins fan. I've seen them at their worst and best. Lastnight was straight up infuriating. It's going to be a long season. #tankformatthews

the Flyers created the monster that is known as Zac Rinaldo

Complaining about it would be like Dr. Frankenstein complaining that his creature broke loose and started killing people.

Rinaldo is such a loser... But suspending him helps the Bruins. that way he isn't on ice taking dumb penalties.. Sickening he is in league still

I knew there would be some idiot who suggested that the Flyers created Rinaldo. We went out and picked up the parts, and designed him to be a dirty player.

Exactly why we traded him. Conversely, its the fact that he is a very good skater and has good puck pursuit skills that even had him in the NHL. If he could pick his hits wiser, he would be a good 4th liner. Unfortunately, that will never happen. I knew he would get tossed from this game. I called it yesterday morning. He was probably all amped up about playing the Flyers, and anytime that guy gets amped up, he loses control of himself.

you're a joke

I agree Flyers fans can be unpleasant to say the least but who created John Scott, Carcillo or Torres?

Most Flyers fans wanted Rinaldo kicked out of the league well before he was traded. The fact they got a 3rd for him was thought to be mystical magic from Hextall as he was considered not fit for the current NHL.

Now on my soap box: We all need to wake up to the reality that players like Rinaldo et al are not enhancing the NHL as a product, they are injuring the stars that we all pay money to go see. They are bad for business and should be let out to pasture.

the period was over, I think the hit happened at .2 seconds left on the clock and the puck was going the other way

Why is Rinaldo still in this league ? Can anyone explain that logically? I mean he and Torres ought to be exiled together to a deserted island and left for dead.(along with a few more I can think of) Call me crazy but I like to see talent>idiotic grit(yes I just made that up)

Because he brings "ENERGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

But, on a serious note, I was done with him after the hit on the poor kid on the Sabres that earned him a 4-gamer in 13/14. There was no reason for the hit, much like the hit on Letang, and much like the hit last night. As someone said, he has the speed to be a reasonable 4th liner, but his unwillingness to play within the rules makes him a detriment to both his team and the league.

And as for the person saying the Flyers" created" him; he had a history of suspensions dating back to his OHL days, so I don't think the Flyers needed to have a sit down and tell him to be a dirty player.

Well, that was the joke. It's the only positive factor that he can offer, and that in itself should not be enough to justify an NHL roster spot.

You could be a woman. Then that would be mighty sexist of me.

Edit: As for the hit itself, it reminds me a bit of the Burrows hit on McDonagh. Taking away the fact of its legality per the rule book, it's still a dirty/predatory/intent to injure play. That is not needed in the NHL today.

hey, if Kreider ever left the Rangers, ran over Lundqvist while playing with a different team, how many people would laugh at the Rangers for "creating that monster"?
