hey, if Kreider ever left the Rangers, ran over Lundqvist while playing with a different team, how many people would laugh at the Rangers for "creating that monster"?
- jimbro83

Honestly, I wouldn't tie that to the Rangers at all, I'd tie it to Kredier. Just like I don't tie Matt Cooke to Vancouver or Pittsburgh, and I don't tie Raffi Torres to any of his teams. They're player with dirty hits regardless of the teams they play on.

Also, as much as I dislike the Rangers as an organization, I do like Lundqvist, so I wouldn't laugh about him being hurt. I'd laugh at any Ranger fans who's defended him for running goalies in the past, however.

I knew there would be some idiot who suggested that the Flyers created Rinaldo. We went out and picked up the parts, and designed him to be a dirty player.

Exactly why we traded him. Conversely, its the fact that he is a very good skater and has good puck pursuit skills that even had him in the NHL. If he could pick his hits wiser, he would be a good 4th liner. Unfortunately, that will never happen. I knew he would get tossed from this game. I called it yesterday morning. He was probably all amped up about playing the Flyers, and anytime that guy gets amped up, he loses control of himself.

- jak521

no he was traded because they were dumb enough to give up a 3rd rd pick. simple as that.

the hit was clean.

the period was over, I think the hit happened at .2 seconds left on the clock and the puck was going the other way
- jimbro83

yeah and? you finish your check. he didn't target the head imo he hit him shoulder to chest. 14 had his head snap back made it look a lot worse imo. the result sucks, possible whiplash?, though that is hockey.

somewhere scott stevens is shaking his head.

I'd like to take this time to point out that you shouldn't judge an entire fan base on the opinions of 1-2 fans.

The hit wasn't clean. Puck was long gone. He also launched into the hit. Might have even left his feet

well I think it was clean. you disagree no biggie. he didn't leave his feet. puck wasn't long gone. 2 minute minor is all he should have got.

I disagree with one thing Ty, saying there are no positives from the game. Though it sent me to bed in a pissed off mood, I did like Julien's lines for the OT. He literally rolled out what I called outloud. I think it is showing Julien's trust on the quicker, younger players a bit, especially with regard to defensemen. Krug was a no brainer, but following it up with C. Miller was a huge step in losing his stubbornness. I was honestly shocked not to see Chara out there earlier. The only gripe I had was Spooner out there, which I did initially call, but then renegged due to lack of responsibility.

This season has been frustrating. Half the game (or more) they seem like the best team in the league. Then they slip up, and a goal is scored. The problem is that EVERY slip up gets capitalized on. There were a couple bad moves by Krejci near the beginning of the game, but other than that, it was like any bad play cost them. They are scoring more than anything in recent history which is another plus. Rask doesn't look good, victim of Circumstance? I hope so.

This hit is exactly like the hit Orpik threw on Eriksson two years ago. I didn't like the hit then, didn't care for the one last night but how about some (frank)ing consistency.

At what point does Rask stop getting a pass because of "inexperienced D"? Hes been BRUTAL. Hes made one big save all year and that was in the Arizona game. We expected the D to make mistakes, didn't expect Rask to exacerbate them

is there a such thing as a minor penalty for a late hit? it was charging. end of story.

the third round pick kills me. what was the competition to trade for this guy? were teams lining up with 4th round pick offers?

They won on a powerplay. i'd take 4 Philly players over 3 bruins any day. (over any team's 3 actually)

I was ok with the starting 3 for OT, but after Spoons took the penalty, Mcquaid and Chara are out on the PK? no way should those two ever be on the ice together.

Who the Hell do you put out there then Kevan Miller, he was freaking awful last night, and Krug started the OT . THAT is what you have to put out there, Sweeney & Neely felt this D was strong enough to start the Season, I called BS as well as many others and it's just my opinion but this is what we are going to be watching all year, the Defence is not NHL calibre PERIOD. Tuukka while not sharp is facing twice the amount of Quality shots as he's used to. Scary thing is they have nothing to look forward to, even when Seids is back it's not going to make much of a difference, Let's Face It, This Team has NO CHANCE at competing for a Cup. I still can't believe how Fast this Team went from a Contender to a Pretender.

As far as Rinaldo goes, WTF good-bye just a stupid idea that looks Bad on everyone.

And he'll still probably lead the team in goals. Hes a streaky scorer, we know this. Hes the least of our worries
