His OZS% of 35 is 20% less than the team average of 55%.

it was a good shoot, but one that any NHL goalie has to stop from that spot, unscreened. he just (frank)ed it up. i feel confident that i could have stopped it, but i probably would have put the rebound directly into the slot.

i don't want mason's job. no thanks. he's doing fine.

I'm not condemning him at all, and I know every goal has some that he wants back. But that one was REALLY bad.

The coach wants to put Schultz on the ice for as many defensive zone faceoffs as possible because the coach feels he's the best defenseman for the purpose of preventing the other team from scoring. Looking at the team ordered by number of DZ draws might make more sense than all the percentages.

he was late, it was high, coots was defenseless while playing the puck. it was dirty, unnecessary, and typical of that (frank)wit. i hope he gets suspended. more important, i hope coots is ok.
- hammarby31

It wasn't suspension late. He hit him in the chest. Coots needs to know he can be checked there and not watch his pass. I didn't find it dirty. It might be the cleanest of his "What'd I get kicked out of the game for?" hits. You're looking at it with prejudice I think.

Hopefully Couturier plays next game.

Or the coach feels that his offensive skills are non-existent and would rather give offensive zone starts to players who are better offensively, which is basically all of them, regardless of what the raw data says.

Downingtown on Lloyd Ave. It's very scenic and next to a church if you're so inclined.

I'm sure I am. I can't stand him as a player. That said, no, it surely wasn't the worst thing he's ever done but it was reckless and very late. Suspension worthy? I doubt it. I'm glad he got the 5-mins and ejection though. He doesn't deserve to be on the ice, imho.

Also, I don't think SC was admiring the pass. The puck was long gone and he was still battling/wrapped up with the Bruin.

Or he just rotates his D in and out when their shift is over.

Does the nhl have any kind of concussion protocal players have to pass in order to play? Or is still just clearing out cobwebs?

I'm with you on the last two sentences. Absolutely. I always thought there was someone in the AHL who could have done more with his minutes when he was here.

He has to match his base line test to return if they decide he concussed.

That's true also. It's the same thing with Willie Mitchell in Florida.

Agreed. Somewhere in the AHL there is a player more deserving of that roster spot shaking his head in disbelief/frustration.

Now, correct me if I am wrong -- and I am sure somebody will -- the coach uses the fourth line in far more difficult situations/zone starts, yet each of those players drives play more than Sam Gagner, damn near across the board.

T'Hawk suggest that somebody could get moved down to do the fourth line to slot Gagner in higher, so he can ostensibly be hidden and contribute offensively, which he has clearly shown he can do. Not taking that away from him at all. He has looked good offensively.

So the question becomes this, to me: Where do you put Gagner where either he or Simmonds aren't leaking at ES, even with favorable starts? Somebody's got to check and kill penalties -- take VDV out, ok. Who is killing with Bellemare?

I'm not being argumentative. I just don't see how the coach has tons of options to play multiple players who struggle at ES, yet take out members of the one line that he can trust to start a shift in their own zone, with all three of them getting some PK work?

No suspension for #bruins Zac Rinaldo. Skates are not leaving the ice and the head was not the point of contact. #tvasports

Correction here. NHL didn't made a final decision on #bruins Zac Rinaldo.
