I don't go to the Rags board, so can you tell me if Flyers fans troll you guys when one of your players gets injured? I would hope not since it's a Richard move.

I am the king of many things, including the interwebs.
Just saying, just because a hit wasn't illegal doesn't mean it's clean. A lot of hits by Darius Kasparitis, while not illegal, were also not clean. And, again, look at the Burrows hit on McDonagh from 2 years ago.

T'Hawk suggest that somebody could get moved down to do the fourth line to slot Gagner in higher, so he can ostensibly be hidden and contribute offensively, which he has clearly shown he can do. Not taking that away from him at all. He has looked good offensively.
So the question becomes this, to me: Where do you put Gagner where either he or Simmonds aren't leaking at ES, even with favorable starts? Somebody's got to check and kill penalties -- take VDV out, ok. Who is killing with Bellemare? - AllInForFlyers
Gagner's ES CF numbers are fine/good w/ certain linemates (Coots, Schenn, Umberger), and really bad with others (Laughton, Read, Simmer). He also spends almost half his total TOI with Schultz behind him, which hasn't helped.
I think you can piece together a couple of really nice combos in that middle-six:
I didn't think there was anything particularly egregious on the Rinaldo hit other then it was a tad late. If they suspend him it will be because of the name on the back of the jersey.
That being said, F him, he's a bruin now. I'll take their third. - mayorofangrytown
Rinaldo definetly exploded upward into the hit for no legitimate reason changing his trajectory. That and along with it being late I don't think anyone can make an argument against.
Suspendable in my opinion but of course he's had far worse

It was definitely a hit the NHL has been trying to get rid of. A player who was engaged with an opponent who had no ways or means to defend himself from a third player looking to hit him.

It's really about a culture. Hitting should be used to knock a player off the puck and to gain the puck back, not to crush a guy because you can, and to teach him a lesson to be more aware. They need to change the culture to rid the game of predatory hits. Hit for a purpose. That purpose should not be to knock a player into next week.

Rinaldo hit last night was opportunity. A player was defenseless and in his sights. Puck was gone and couturier was already being pressured from behind. Rinaldo took the opportunity to throw a big hit. Not a hit to separate a man from puck.
If he just swung past couturier and actually made a play on the puck.
