With that can of worms open, hypothetically speaking now, what would it take from MTL to get Malkin? Plekanec, Scherbak, Andrighetto and a 1st? - habfanforever
Nope. It starts with Galch and continues from there. The trade is bad for both sides. |

Sammy87, this is your time to shine.
Since he's probably not here right now, this is the trade if I remember correctly:
Max P + Galchenyuk + Gallagher for Geno and Perron |

Subpar October's don't mean much come March and April. Blue Jacket 2015 Octobers, well that's an entirely different story.
Penguins have too much top end talent to struggle scoring all season. |

Probably, but who knows...he's been rumored to be on the block for some reason. Plus if that happened, I'd probably be okay seeing what kind of forward Pouliot could fetch.
Someone like Big Buff more realistic?
If I traded Hornqvist for a forward....I would go after someone like Drouin. - YouMeAndDupuis9
Hornqvist for Druin is another one id do in two seconds especially with how Druin is playing this season but it's even less plausible than the Shattinkerk trade. |

Malkin makes too much $$$ and is injury prone. And it would cost too much to get him.
Habs probably need another top 6 winger anyway, not a centerman. |

Sammy doesn't want that trade anymore now that we have Phil. |

Ok now that's a Hornqvist trade is actually entertain. Another legit #1 right handed d? I'm all for that. Our defense would go from shambles to elite over night. I think Maatta might be playing himself out of a massive Klefbom like contract so managing a d core of Letang, Shattenkirk, Maatta and Pouliot over the next four or five seasons may actually be doable. - Victoro311
ba da ba ba ba...I'm lovin it. |

Drouin has been the Bolts best player so far. He might only have one goal but he is getting the assists and generally looks like the player that was the highly touted prospect Tampa drafted in 2013. |

They know it will be difficult to afford him. Drouin would cost a fortune to acquire. |

Yeah I think he's gone from the dog house to untouchable in a matter of a few games this season. He's really f'n good. If TB can keep the triplets, Stammer, Druin, and Headman they're gonna be the next dynasty. |

Yup. Time to buy low on him was last year. I wanted the Pens to make a move badly for him. |

I don't see mtl making a huge deal anyway now or at the trade deadline. See when they added Petry last year. A smart move, but nothing huge. |

Proven to score 20-30 goals, excellent net front prescence, 100% effort, leadership qualities, still fairly young, and a good contract.....
I never really thought about trading him before but because of reasons listed above, I aim high. He has good value. |

That won't be possible. Keeping Stamkos means losing at least one/two other quality players. |

Lines in practice this morning:
Dupuis-Crosby-Hornqvist
Plotnikov-Malkin-Kessel
Kunitz-Bonino-Sprong
Perron-Cullen-Rust
Fehr rotating in on top 6 as well.

I dunno about that, id think the pens would be looking for def. Gally isnt the solution for pitts. The need a 2 way center on the second line and probably a better winger thats committed like crosby to 2 way play |

Galchenyuk - YouMeAndDupuis9
At that point the 1st or Scherbak disappears |
