It was a blindside hit; not nearly as late as the Rinaldo hit on Couturier but, in the modern day NHL, it was not the cleanest of hits.

late? he still has the puck when gudas crushes him......

Perfect, hahaha.

Hank is definitely not showing signs of slowing down. Can't fault him on both shootout goals because not a single goalie stops those kind of moves and finish.

Bishop would've poke checked one of them

So that snooze fest hey.

Have to say, Streit has really grown on me. Timonen light.

Entertaining Game from start to finish. I don't really care for 3 on 3 but it was pretty thrilling and I felt the shootout was fun to watch as well. No complains....for once.

It was. Gagner almost pulled off a beaut in OT, but lost the handle. Still gets outmuscled along the walls at times, but he's been very effective
- Jsaquella

Turns out he might be more useful that some thought

In terms of the disallowed goal, ask yourselves if the Flyers had scored that, and it had been disallowed, what would you think about the call? I personally think the goal should've counted. I'm glad it didn't though.
- MJL

Happens against us all the time but this time we all had the benefit of a long look. I thought the league made the right call.

I've said many times, I'm sure he's a lovely man. I don't dislike him personally. Have no reason to feel that way. I only hate him when he's playing because of the team he plays for. I was not a fan of his style earlier in his career, but I don't mind it so much now. As a goalie I appreciate the amazing stops he makes.

But yeah, (frank) csp.

We're good, crims.

Flyers excel at having mid-late 30s European d men who came late to the NHL on their roster. We are not allowed to have them any other way

Sucks to admit under the circumstances but I thought the top line and the PP looked much improved with Brayden Schenn at LW. The kid seems poised to have a career year.

Thanks Bill. I really don't care for Stoll. I am surprised that NYR signed him when he was on his way out of the league. When you get some more information on Raffl, please let us know Bill. Wish him the best.
Gagner is looking better, and better every game. I hope that he has turned the corner in his career. Confidence, and a change in scenery is what some players need.
Again, we relied upon Mason to kill penalties, and odd man rushes. The forwards have to stop making those bad passes, and going too deep into the O-zone.
However, it was a win. 4-2-1, is a lot better than I thought that we would be after that 7-1 loss in Florida.
How is Neuvy progressing? I hope that he will be able to backup Mase soon. I am not feeling warm, and fuzzy with JB as the backup.

? didn't they only allow 3 shots on one PP and zero shots on the second PP?

Honestly I feel like MDZ and Gudas are guys they could keep around long term to try and put together a cup team. Medvedev is a possibility as well.

Fantastic game last night. Lundqvist was brilliant as usual. Flyers could have easily potted another couple goals in regulation had it not been for Lundqvist's fantastic outing. Mason looks to be rounding into his form from last season with this game. Loved seeing Mason's enthusiasm and celebration after the save on Moore.

The Gudas/Stalberg hit:

Savage hit. The fast-paced action of NHL hockey will result in plays like this. Gudas has his arms tucked down, doesn't charge or leave his feet. You can see he's aiming for Stalberg's chest/shoulders and makes principal contact on the shoulder with glancing-blow contact up high on Stalberg's jaw. Looks to be more clean than dirty IMO. Shouldn't see any supplementary discipline from the NHLPS.

Medvedev has great mobility and reads the play very well. Also above average at turning pucks up ice. That being said, he's still in an adjustment period IMO which is why the coaching staff has his ice time a bit below 20 minutes. He was nearly turn-stiled by Stalberg and was a little soft on blocking cross-crease passes on at least 2 occassions. I think he's getting better and will soon eclipse 20 minutes per night on a regular basis.

ny rangers speed makes it difficult on a lot of Dmen

I don't understand the reluctance to have both Schenn and Gudas in the line up together.

I know they aren't terrific skaters but they need the right handed guys, and it would somewhat balance out the negatives from lack of foot speed.

It is bizarre. This vision Hakstol has seems more blinding.
