Beating all those teams people thought were better than us last season must account for something. Winning most of the games in our division when that was supposed to be what would crush us must have some examples. Just look at the bonehead the season earlier getting owned almost every game in the new year. The league is full of more experienced coaches (frank)ing things up far worse...
Like I have been saying. I don't think they hired this coach with playoff aspirations. If people want to blame anyone for playoff failures... blame management for not getting one of the experienced coaches available for playoff success. There wasnt much available... victim of timing... and that is the previous GM's fault.

good players and leadership are needed to win the cup also. We lose games because our top players take their foot off the gas and go to sleep or try to play defense, which I blame on the AV pedigree.
My thoughts:
Hunter is looking good right now but won't be coming up until after Xmas if at all
McCann will go down as he is too thin - another head shot and his career is seriously in trouble.
JV is just not the force yet and should go down
Higgins is considered the glue of the team (ouch) and will come back
We will start winning games with the old vets in the line up and then at xmas injuries will happen and some of the kids will come back up.

To most of your points:
- Hunter will replace Baert once the team decides what to do with McCann and Virtanen which is coming up soon.
- McCann probably goes down, as you say, he needs to grow and he's behind the curve due to his bout of mono last year and dominating junior won't hurt him.
- Virtanen will probably stay, he's got the physical tools to handle the NHL game and his scoring touch isn't going to be developed in junior where most of the goals there come off the rush. In the NHL goals come off set plays and rebounds as the goaltenders are of a magnitude better.
- Higgins has become expendable, when he gets back into the lineup he's going to have pressure on him to produce, whether with Sutter or with Horvat.
- Until we get our lines set and chemistry sorted out, and figure out why we collapse in the third period, we're going to pretty much hover around .500 for much of the season. Not to mention I expect our D to suffer some injuries fairly soon as they're not the most durable in the league. |

True and if the third period woes continue we can expect a trade to help bolster the D. Something will have to give. |

Will miss the game against the Habs we are going to see Olivia Newton John instead. Married life sucks
Well maybe I will try to convince her to come back to play with the boys team again.
Won 85 dollars yesterday and only spent 120.. Today day cost 35. Ate at Cabo Wabo pretty cheap there |

Send McCann, Virtanen and Weber back to junior. It will be beneficial for all imo. |

I'd like to keep JV with the club. He could be brought along like Horvat was last season. I don't remember everyone being so upset with Horvat's ice time last season after he came back from injury. |

Then you don't remember well. EVERYONE was all like "I can't believe he only played 8 minutes" and "He should get better line mates then Dorsett and Hansen and Kenins" and "Why aren't they using him on at least the second PP unit".
PS Sbisa sucks, Dorsett is a possession anchor, Miller is a below average goalie. |

Well it's pretty apparent that this season is completely off the rails, a total disaster, so it goes without saying that there might be some hurt feelings and thus the complaining. |

All this time between games promotes misery and despair....for the record, none of Hutton, Virtanen or McCann are getting sent down. I have it on good authority. |
