I think it was the basic concept of selling high. Do you think Brian Flynn could ever get more in a trade return than what Murray got? Someone called and offered something for an expiring contract. Yes, he had a nice point streak going, but that is why another team wanted him. We were not resigning him, so I think that was the reason more than making the team worse. Just so happens that it may have helped that too.

when your in a smaller market and have to overpay to get free agents, the gm needs to be above average

know what sucks? playing in the pats division. indy could go 7-9 and win their division by 2 games. we dont get breaks like that here. we have to go 10-4 against the rest of the league (assuming 2 losses to pats) every year to even have a prayer at a wild card. and doing that without a franchise qb and a mediocre coaching staff looks just about impossible.

IMO the Sophia one was worse.
