Even without the Sedins he has had his chances, should have 3-4 easily which is better than a 20 goal pace - WhiteLie
True, but chances from far out where the goalie can see you perfectly aren't great chances. He isn't Tyler Seguin where the he can look left and shoot right. he is accurate, fast, predicatable. Just like most other shooters of his calibur. He needs the quick pass and shoot or the screen shot, or the nifty deke move to score regularly.
I do think that it is a little overblown about the Sedin's ice time at this point. If we are going to compare their ice time through 8 games this season I think it should be compared to 8 games in last season.
I think it is also relevant to note that 4 of the 8 games so far this season have gone to OT compared to just one last year.
This works out to only a 30/45 second increase on average for the Sedins respectively.
The bigger issue for me is that Dorsett is getting more than 2 minutes more a game. Dorsett is a fine 4th liner but he is being relied upon too much IMO. That is the biggest difference in the line up this year. If WD can't trust the kids he is relying on Dorsett and Prust more.

I disagree, he has had many grade A chances and has been missing corners and hitting posts. He is snake bit and will start scoring soon. He has also had some good opportunities of dekes and just missed.

You guys a whining on a rookie level. This thread needs Nucker or I see it dying at a little over 100 posts. - A_SteamingLombardi
I expected the Canucks to lose this year, and lose often. I'm not sure why everyone is surprised or disappointed, it's all for the greater good. It's just too bad they keep picking up loser points.

He will score 20+ barring an injury. - belcherbd
Agreed, I can think of many scoring chances that were high percentage ones. I can see him getting 7 or 8 in a 15 game span. Just one multigoal game and hes 10% of the way to a 20 goal season. He's got too much of a nose for the net to be that unlucky
While I agree.... do you think there is any scenario that Vrbata gett 20? - Beatle_john
I think he will. If he was a hair closer on some of his chances he would be looking good now. He's been pretty consistent in his career... it's more likely than not.

Teams would pay a 1st for him. at the very least a 2nd and 3rd. Esp if Bieksa netted a 2nd rounder in off season. - Retinalz
In 2011-12 and maybe 2013 Hamhuis would have for sure fetched a 1st. Not a chance nowadays. If we get a solid 2nd for him or two 3rd's we'd better take that deal and run.

It could be a conditional 1st, say if he resigns with the new team, but yeah you are right.

I disagree. TDL tends to have overpayment and bidding wars. As previously mentioned KB#3 got a 2nd, a true contender will hand over a late 1st for him. I also see situations where teams tight to the cap over pay with draft picks or prospects to dump a contract so they can afford contracts such as Hamhuis'
