If you wanna act like you are four years old then you will be treated as such. I personally don't mind Nuckers posts at all but the negativity is a bit much. Sure we are all negative at times but still...

Having to stare at his stupid Flames avatar every time he posted would equate to like talking to a twelve year old. Grow up.

- LordHumungous

yeah, i didn't like the flames avatar either, but it was a bet and he backed off on it afterwards as well.

regardless. i'd like to see the guy come back at some point.

We ate at Gordon Ramsays pub last night. Fifteen bucks for a side of fries.

The chicken had a good flavour and was tender but the rib steak was just ok. I expected a lot more for a two hundred dollar meal. I would chose the Keg any day.

Toews is the best overall forward in the league IMO.
- Codes1087

He is the most complete player in the game today. Which makes what he brings on so many levels invaluable. Without Toews the Hawks don't win ONE cup let alone 3.

Oh ok thx for letting me know I didn't know that it was a bet.

I prolly would have tried it, but damn, I'm cheap. $15 fries better be the best fries I've ever had, done to perfection. Makes me appreciate the diners and trucks that have a limited menu but what they do, they do well.

Impressions of Vegas? Did you have a moment where you both took a step back and said, this place is crazy!?

I hear you the best rib steak(s) I have had were at the old Drinkwater grill in Calgary and at Ruth Chris in Edmonton. The Ruth Chris experience was a $240 affair without tip but worth every penny. The steak was truly outstanding. But there are so many great ways to cook steak at home now yes one can truly make the best steak possible in their own home.

No it's downtown Edm right on Jasper ave in the very old Bank of Montreal building that was converted into retail and restaurant space. They are an American steak house chain I believe. The rib eye came out on skillet (blackened) done to perfection with a good dose of garlic butter and spices...it was unreal good. maybe the best I have had tough to say.

We should be screaming at him for his prices.

His French Onion soup was superb though, he calls it English Ale Onion soup

I would take about a dozen guys ahead of him... including but not limited to the following:

Bergeron
Kopitar
Crosby
Malkin
Ovechkin
Kane
Tavares
Benn
Datsyuk
Stamkos
Seguin
Zetterberg...

- kaptaan

you're on glue.

Only a couple of those guys bring to the table what Toews brings.

So true. I've developed a balasamic Rosemary butter to put on Rib Eye Steaks while resting. As changed the steak game for me.

This is still early in the season, once mid-November hits most teams will be where they were expected to be one way or another. People forget that it takes time for teams to figure out lines, their systems and get chemistry going.
- DariusKnight

Chicago started terrible a few times and got things going.
The fact that we are having lots of line combos and options is good. I would rather a slow start than a fast start and then a jan losing strek like with Torts

Come on - he is a great player but he has a great team surrounding him. I would take weber over him for example

The fact is chicgo has all areas covered - strong d with great o, and a good enough goalie that doesnt lose them games and generally stays out of the press

Outstanding. There are so many good DIY at home steak recipes now. A few years back a buddy of mine had a real good friend that was one of the head guys in Alberta for the Keg. He showed us multiple recipes for rib steaks and the key is a good quality salted( Real) butter with spices of your choice. So many ways to do it but once you find a way that works for you like you did with the Rosemary balsamic...tough to go back to anything else.

Yannick Weber?

You make all good points. Toews is surrounded by all the needs needed to build a championship franchise. All I'm saying is that Toews brings intangibles that do not always show up on the scoresheet. The leadership and example he sets is readily there at every level. From World Junior to NCAA to Olympics to the NHL. It's all there. Winner at every level and that isn't a coincidence. Some people are just born with the winning instinct...he has it. And it filters through the dressing room like a good cancer. The Hawks roll how Toews goes and he is the key that brings it all together.

weird, how for a guy who doesn't post here,Nucker, how he gets ragged on every blog...

not sure why some people are fixated on the guy, but what reason would he have to come back if he's getting the treatment and he isn't even here...?

- kaptaan

You yourself know guys go after people with extreme opinions. You don't seem to give a $hit and you shouldn't. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If his feelers are hurt he will eventually come back. You always do. Nucker is young and tends to take things little too personally. Doesn't mean we don't like him.

Game Day!

What to watch tonight against the Habs, and don't forget to set your PVR for Wednesday's premiere of Hockey Wives—which will feature the wives of both Ryan Miller *and* Carey Price this year!
