According to Russo, Dubnyk will be playing tonight. That's a plus. - mnhockeyguy
I bet McDavid turns him inside out at least once. |

probably yeah
but I think hall was certainly our best player against LA. by a lot.
and nuge was probably our most consistent through the first 5.
regardless whos the best, it so nice having more than one dangerous line.
id actually like to see Hendricks back on the first when hes healthy, and ebs alongside lander to possibly give us 3 dangerous lines... |

Actually have been fairly impressed by what I've seen out of Klinkhammer. He seems to be dangerous and using his speed well. He and Hendricks on the 3rd line together might be pretty lethal once Eberle comes back. |

Well, this can't be good...... Todd McLellan mentioned this morning that Oilers Medical Chief of Staff Dr.Naidu returning from Europe to examine Justin Schultz. |

yeah, its weird they haven't said anything more than hes undergoing tests.
its not good id assume. bad for the oilers
hopefully reinhart is back soon and he can take the place of Davidson/ference
early in the season-desperate to gain confidence and a few signs of turning the corner. but some tough losses-desperate for wins already and now the injury bug.
jesus fuk
this season could be done sooner rather than later. again.
so frustrating |

I'm not sold on Shultz at all, so I think it could be a good thing not to see him on the ice for 22+ minutes a night.

not sold on him as a number 1 is fine. cause hes not.
but hes been our best dman. and the reason he plays those minutes is cause mclellan sees him as our number 1 too.
I think hes played like 4 mins a night more than sekera and klefbom. and that aint all just pp time either. he had some old Schultz mistake against Washington-but other than that game, hes been good for us.
there is no scenario where we're not a worse team without him. |

Here my thing, our biggest weakness right now is probably on defense. Now I haven't been able to watch much hockey this year thus far but if things are anything like the last few years, our biggest problem on defense is that we can't retrieve the puck in our own zone and then get it out. The retrieving the puck being the biggest problem.
If you look at the defense on the Oilers who's the worst player at retrieving the puck in our own zone? My mind points to Shultz, hence why I think having him out might not be a bad thing.
Perhaps i'm wrong, really exited to see how Nurse does, unfortunately I won't be able to watch much if any of the game. |

The only problem with that is the fact that nuge and ebs are amazing together. And you know that hall will be one bitter piece of poop if he goes to the 3rd. However. That being said your experiment wouldn't hurt to try |
