What move though? Is there any solid defensemen we can trade for that you know of? either then that what can he do? - RatedR80
If you guys draft high again, gotta go after Chychrun. Him and Nurse would be a great start to a back-end |

I wouldn't trade a first. Especially with the new lottery rules |

If we actually did get that #1 pick I would trade Matthews for a solid defenseman in a heartbeat without any thought |

Yes and how long until he starts putting un needed pressure on himself to stop everything and over thinks his game too much?....all of this could end up having a horrible trickle down effect - RatedR80

On the brightside, at least the schedule eases up a fair deal the next couple weeks. Despite Montreal being good, they're an Eastern team and play a style that allows for offense. Calgary, Philly, Pittsburgh (twice), Arizona, Carolina, and Detroit are all very winnable games and even the game against Chicago can't be called a scheduled loss.
There are games against LA, Anaheim, and Washington that worry me, but it they can make their way through November above .500 they'll be right in the wheelhouse we were expecting of them this season. |

I'd say RNH should probably be expendable for a Dman, with LD in the wings? Or Eberle maybe |

Worse yet how much losing until McDavid starts to really feel the pressure and start to try and put it all on himself? |

As with the past three years, I don't give a (frank) about our 1st round pick if we can improve our team meaningfully in this season and at least a season beyond. All we need is some momentum and improvements to the D corps. If one or even two 1sts gets us the latter, the former will come SO much easier and it'll all be worth it. |

I've campaigned this before and I stand by it; Hall is who I trade. If you can get a Rick Nash-like return, the team is SO much better. |

Well, at least you have youngsters. Thank God for Morgan Rielly because the rest of the rag tags are painful to watch |

Ference and Davidson are both terrible...its like do you want to shoot yourself in the head or drink a bottle of poison....either way they will kill us - RatedR80
And at the beginning of the season who would have thought the 5 and 6 dmen were going to be the biggest problems... FFS |

Who plays with Nuge then? You cant break up the Pouliot-McD-Yak line |

Reinhart has been better then those two and he is out....Schultz you could argue was our best DMan before he got hurt.....just some poopty breaks that has resulted in us having to play those two....at least Nurse was decent |

Eberle and someone we get in the Hall return. A legit top-4 D (Petry-quality or above) and a middle 6 forward (think Dubinsky prior to the Nash trade) should be easily manageable in a deal sending Hall away. Then Leon is still down and he could take over the Pouliot role with those two down the road. |
