I think your point is, a new Coach is above criticism. I've gone into great detail with my views and frankly no Coach is above criticism. - SuperSchennBros
Nobody thinks that a coach is above criticism. The point is how do you know what Hakstol is as a coach after 8 games? |

One thing I do like is the fact he's not running to the first PP unit every time there is penalty against the other team. Other players are getting offensive chances. Guys like Gagner, Schenn and Del Zotto need this to be productive. - SuperSchennBros
That has been dependent on when the first line was last out playing. If they're fresh, he's going with the first unit. |

He (and I) were directing our comments to your one comment about Lavi and Hitchcock's start compared to Hakstal's. No one on this team, player or coach or GM, is above criticism. - jmatchett383
Both you and him took my post too literal. When you install a system mid season, things much be reteached.
Also if I were to take your comment or anyone else's comments too literal, I'd be a jackass for doing so. |

So this isn't big deal? Boy I'm sure Parent and Bartulis saw a lot of time against Toews and Kane in 2010's Cup Final. |

No. I have no problem with criticism... when warranted. Saying he isnt a game changer and listing Laviolette as one is where I focused my narrative. All I am saying is give him time. |

It does take time for a new coach. If that's true, how can you declare that Hakstol is not a game changer like Laviolette and Hitchcock were? |

First goal was not bad.... Ennis made a great play, Mason did his part and covered his side. The puck went in far side. The blame is on Giroux for losing the battle behind the net to Ennis, pretty easily I might add |

So you have then in fact made a final determination on Hakstol as a coach, after 8 games, based on some mistakes made? |

Yes, it was a deal (maybe not a big one). However, he did it in one game and it was his 5th game as an NHL coach. This can be corrected and hopefully will be in the future. If he persists in getting bad match-ups constantly (especially if the game is a home game, as Dallas was not).
For someone who says you can't look at one game, you seem to keep harping on this one game match-up as a reason why Hakstal is a bad coach. |

Clear-cut evidence of a coach who makes horrible decisions constantly. |

HAHA are you comparing the 4th game of the season to the Stanley Cup final?
He already said that he likes the mobility and physicality they bring. It didnt work out. We are lacking a true #1 and arguably a #2. There are gonna be miss matches. The WORST possible thing he could have done there is put Luke on the ice vs that line. |

How many NHL seasons did those guys have to coach before they won their Cups? I don't think either did it as a rookie NHL head coach. |

In Laviolette's first year as the Flyers head coach, that team continued to play up and down hockey in the regular season. They had a very good playoff season obviously, even thought they came real close to being knocked out by the Bruins. In terms of taking over a team during the regular season, and turning the team around, Berube, who is a "clown" did much better than Laviolette did taking over a team. |

Dude, he's just changing his argument to suit his needs, jumping from one thing to the next. It's not worth it, because he's going to keep jumping until he finds something that he wins with. I'm done. |

One thing I didn't realize because, I admit, I didn't see all that much of him in Colorado, but Ryan O'Reilly reminds me a bit of Keith Primeau. Big, strong guy that moves well and is hard on the puck. Good on faceoffs, even though I thought he got away with a lot last night on the dot. - johndewar

Nah, but the OT goal was a real stinker. Completely stoppable. |
