I think you're pretty close.

If this happened to a player in say Dallas or LA I don't think it would cause such an uproar. But because people of Buffalo think of themselves as blue collared hard working class people they take an exception.

However it is not like he came out of nowhere and said it. He was provoked, people get off on provoking a reaction, should he have taken the higher road absolutely do I blame him for what he said not a chance.

Again if only social media were around in the 90's I bet people would have had different opinions of those Bills players...

Just want to Thank all my fans for their support please don't retract yesterday's statement. My frustration is wanting to help the team and win for the city of Buffalo and for my teammates.
