With the back-to-back games this weekend, I can imagine Willie might juggle the D a bit. Not much room to mess around with the forwards - I expect Gaunce will just slot straight into Prust's spot.
Since Biega's 27, he's not technically a rookie, even though he only has seven games of NHL experience. But Gaunce sure is. - Carol Schram
Cracknell is still in the picture as well, so there's a chance Gaunce sits....which would suck for him. |

I do find it curious what the thinking is, because Gaunce isnt a player you call up and not use. He is trending in the right direction and I think you want him constantly playing. Biega on the otherhand I view as solid but playing or not he will be what he is now so there is a chance he is just on the trip for insurance. I am also assuming Gaunce is no longer being considered a centerman? |

I don't mean to be picky, but it isn't unheard of to have these guys called up as a reward for hard work- just being with the big club, I guess it might impact their pay cheque as well... there were a few times last season when guys got called up and didn't get in, like Corrado.
I'd like to see Gaunce get in, wondering if he would be a suitable replacement for Higgins? Seems to always be in position.
I can see Cracknell getting in, it is already a challenge for WD to play the kids... |

I know it isnt unheard of, but I think for a guy that really impressed in camp they would want him to continue playing bigger minutes in Utica rather than a couple gameday skates. But I know there could be more to it like you say (such as psychological/financial rewards) |

yep, either way, it is nice to have some depth players in Utica that can step in.
Gaunce is all business. |

Just out of curiosity has anyone here invested in stocks either by picking their own stock or a mutual fund doing it for them? I've been considering trying it out been doing good with a real world simulator. - pker2theend
Pick mutual funds that are a managed portfolio. I can pm you ones I use and recommend. All depends on your risk tolerance and timeline...

Little surprised its not Shink, I know he didn't have a great preseason/camp but he's been the best Comet this season imo |

Not the right replacement for Prust.
Gaunce makes sense for the 4th line. |

If Gaunce gets in, it is to take Prust's spot on the 4th line, Gaunce is better suited to that than Shink. Now if Sven gets hurt, that sounds like a spot for Shink. |

So...have the canucks placed somebody on IR? I mean 22 man roster + Biega and Gaunce.
Maybe Weber got waived |
