Nick Ritchie with 4 goals already.

Ducks need some scoring....Vrbata and Weber for Ritchie

- Bieksa#3

Can't do it. You would miss Weber too much.

Let's try Vrbata and Hamhuis for Richie, Theodore and a 3rd 😀

I see Bonino is off to another invisible start. Zeros across the board 4 minutes of ice time . They don't even talk about him in the Pens thread

He's to cheap to talk about, that's why they love him, he allows them to sign 3 other players. He works for mustard and ketchup packets.

The funny thing is the entire Pens team has 10 more goals than Sutter and sit in 11 th spot. Yes it's early but US Thanksgiving is a month away. Lovin it

I wouldn't expect Crosby, Kessel and co to keep up their start to the season

I wouldn't mind Bowey and Theodore as our future #1/2 dmen, but I wouldn't giev up Hammer and Edler quite yet. We would need to keep one of them for now. Edler also has Full NTC and i doubt he would want to leave yet, maybe last year of contract. Benning is right about developing youth in a winning environment being important to them getting better. I would TDL hammer to Anh for Theodore(maybe Hammer+). Then depending on draft position try and trade for Bowey if we aren't top 10 draft pick.

Of course they won't but , Crosbys production dropped at the end of last year and Kessel sucked after the second half

The TO Pitt trade for Kessel has conditional draft choices based upon the following conditions:

*If Pittsburgh qualifies for the 2016 postseason, Toronto will receive the Penguins’ 2016 first-round draft pick; and the Penguins will receive Toronto’s 2016 second-round selection. The second-round pick would be the one Toronto originally acquired from Pittsburgh for Daniel Winnik earlier this year.

*Should Pittsburgh miss the 2016 playoffs, Toronto will INSTEAD receive the Penguins’ 2017 first-round pick; with Pittsburgh getting Toronto’s 2017 second-round selection in return.

*If the Penguins were to miss the postseason the next two years, Toronto would receive Pittsburgh’s 2017 second-round draft pick and Pittsburgh would not receive a draft pic

So if Pitt misses the playoffs this year and next the Leafs will only get Pitts 2nd round pick in 2017 and no 1sts.

Little surprised its not Shink, I know he didn't have a great preseason/camp but he's been the best Comet this season imo

Not the right replacement for Prust.
Gaunce makes sense for the 4th line.

So...have the canucks placed somebody on IR? I mean 22 man roster + Biega and Gaunce.

Maybe Weber got waived

- Bieksa#3

LTI for Higgins maybe? They can activate that anytime. Higgins is out 2 more weeks I'm hearing today... we are almost going on 4 weeks into the season... they can do it and not have to worry about forcing him out of the line up healthy like they worried about earlier.

- Bieksa#3

Let it go man. Your player is getting ice time and has 4 goals, we are still in the win column... never have their been this many rookies in the line up... Horvat turned out great last season in spite of you thinking WD hates him...

There was one guy in there talking about him. He was a Canuck fan though and he was trying to drum up support about how much they ripped off the Canucks.

I'll admit...I wasn't really excited about that trade, but I was wrong, Sutter is no world-beater but he's definitely better than Boner.

Time to move either Crosby or Malkin. Team needs a reset while they still have enough star power to build a cup team around.

I think Crosby would benefit from a fresh start with some new faces around him.

Sutter and Bonino are not names that get anyone excited... but it was a good hockey trade for us. The people who think we got fleeced because it wasnt a one for one must be rethinking that now. We are talking about a player who seems to be able to slot in anywhere because of his speed and solid D play and still get points.

He's going to be one of those players you know you are missing when he's out of the line up.
