I have to say Sbisa is growing on me. Love Hutton. Sutter goes without saying. Hansen Tanev Bo McCann And JV big fans. Bartowski nice signing. I have to give JB kudos. I can see this guy taking us far.

If McCann can put on 25lbs of muscle he will be our 1C, Horvat 2C. Our problem will be on the LW.

I think McCann has more 1st line upside than Horvatt as well.

When you look at teams who have tried to rebuild few are able to pull it off efficiently - Colorado, Philly, Buffalo, Edmonton, Toronto, Arizona, Columbus are terrible, and even Calgary, Chicago, LA took years to get back to the playoffs.

We are lucky to have the management team we have. I bet most teams would not recover from the Torts era. I suppose part of that is the sedins are around, but they are trending to normality now.

I think we will squeak into the playoffs, and make the second round this year with the kids leading the way.

Sedins are like those guys who just don't age at the same rate as everyone else... ala Selanne, Hossa, etc...

Chicago is in tough to make the playoffs...

I don't think Sven has really been doing that bad. As I said yesterday he's skating hard and playing responsible hockey. Winning a few battles here and there. He has NHL speed and he's a plus 1. Goals will come. I personally have seen his improvement.

His 200' game has been pretty good but it's clear he has strength issues. After his stint in Utica last year I just think we all expected some offensive punch by now. He has made some nice primary assists but he needs to light the lamp a few times and it has to be in the next few weeks or we are going to be getting Higgy with it.

How many more young guys can fit on this team? I guess all the clamoring for change is paying off...

It really is refreshing. Especially seeing McCann stick it to the Habs. Much to look forward to once McCann/Boeser and Horvat/JV are consistently in the top 6.

I think
Shink/JM/Boes
Gaunce/Horvat/JV
look like a good future top 6. Gaunce may be only a 3rd liner like Higgins so we may still need that #2 LW player.

Is that top line big enough, will they get bounced around? Curious to see where McCann tops out.

I loved that video when I saw it the 1st time, but this time I noticed how small Bonino is sitting next to Bo.

McCann should fill out, and Brock will be a big dude for sure. He looks like a young Flash Gordon. Or when you watch Ted think of Brock B. in 50 years.....

So long as we get more of 20-goal Lucic and less of running-guys-after-getting-hit Lucic I'm not all against it...

coaching will be key - does willie impose a certain style on him, or give him too much respect. If Vrbata is a sign then he should be coached into the right player.

JB appeared to show some interest before the season started, but with some of these kids stepping up, who knows if some of JB's plans have changed? Nice to see the team playing with speed.

If JB could have a "do over", he might not have signed Sbisa to that contract with Huttons unexpected play, a left handed dman.. ?

I wouldn't be against Lucic for a year or two, but can't see him signing a short contract when he becomes ufa... what ev
