Just a question for anybody that wants to answer it. There were plenty on the Pens board wanting Franson only we couldn't afford him if he wanted to play before he signed with you guys. How has he played so far?

Mike Lange also commented on your goalie early on having 'trouble', but he seemed to get better as the game went on, so all may not be lost if he can control himself early.

I feel that he has played very well. he is really good on pp and suprisingly solid in the defensive zone but his slow skating has been obvious and victimized.

Going to be the player that gets hammered until he wins a game or 2?

Sounds like he would get murdered on our thread!

AS much as I like Eichel, I am still Bitter about not getting McDavid.

He is one of, if not the best player in the NHL right now already.

He is a nightmare at times, but also really good at times. He is a number 3-5 D-man who wants to be paid like a number 1-2.

He is so slow and is going to get beat a lot. I expected worse, but i cant really complain. Like i said he is a number 3-5 D-man, and you are going to have both good and bad with that.

I'm only 1 of a few that are glad we didn't sign him. But as you said there is good as well. It's up to Disco to manage the bad.

Yeah...I say we switch with Pittsburgh and join the AFC North. I'll take my chances with Cincy and Baltimore.

Also, Kinda surprised, no mention of the Pens throw backs on the board. That I saw anyway. I like'em. I like the old-school bright colors than this new washed out stuff. "Hey! I have an idea! Let's add gray to everything!" I like the bright blue of the 70's-early 90's Sabres.

Ain't she a beauty?

I thought those Pens sweaters were definitely tight. And while living in Cali I got myself an Oakland Seals jersey for games - mine is the gold and forest green version though... tight as hell.

I think tim murray is getting off light. He traded for kane and bogosian, two guys who are notoriously hurt. Right now Winnipeg ripped us off on that trade.
Even more importantly he traded a first rounder for Robin lehner. When lehner was injured,he was 40 pounds overweight, that is factual. How did murray not do his due diligence on a guy who was concussed and fat. Secondly, why did he not sign lindback? Lindback had a 924 sv pct on a horrible team. If we had lindback or neuvrith we would of won easily 1 to 3 more games this year

Did you see bogosians career, first year 81 games,71,65,33,55,60. Kane's is just as bad. How do you end up with chad johnson and Linus ullmark as your goalies? He had lindback for nothing. It is a shame because they are hustling and there goaltending is killing them.. What happens if we win 25 games. Murray has to be ccountable

Them winning 25 games and the resulting pick that would mean might be the best possible thing for the overall future of this team, as much as people are going to hate hearing that.

...It helps when there are 3 other #1 picks on the team with you

I don't mind that McDavid is doing well..i'm happy for the kid

What i can't stand is that everyone slobbering all over Edmonton's johnson

If you're doing what he's doing at age 18 or 19, it means you are probably great, no matter who you are playing with. Connor McDavid was drafted #1 for a reason, and he's proving it already.

His first two games scared me a bit because he didn't look so good out there. But he's been a total BEAST since then. I was one of the people that were afraid of trading for him. Mostly because of the contract situation. They managed to tie that up quickly and he's playing very well for us right now. I'm thoroughly enjoying watching him play right now.

Agreed....my point was that I'm sick of hearing the media crown Edmonton the king of hockey and the land of milk and honey less than 10 games into the season

It's not just lindback. All of the Sabres goalies last year are all in the top 10 this season.

I get the idea behind lehrner. His father coached lindquist growing up so hoping for ligtning to strike twice. We still have needs at d. Somebody to pair up as a top defender. I would love it if we could get somebody in here so i can no longer see weber on the ice. Hes just bad. Also every one of our defensemen need to work on stopping the pass across on a 2v1.
