With all the additions we have made, Miller makes us a better team if he was still here. - SABRES 89
Absolutely. I think they're trying so hard to not (frank) up that they're thinking too much and not playing. Like whenever Lalime used to play they played horribly in from of him because they were trying too hard and not just playing the system. |

Oh my.
When I knew that Lalime was in net for a game his last season here,
more often than not my reaction was this.

There is no way to know what would have happened if we kept Miller. You can argue we would not have Eichel and Reinhart if we kept Miller, or you could argue that Enroth and Neuvirth were just as good as or better than Miller would have been for us. But no one could possibly know so we shouldn't say these things and act as if it s proof of an argument.
Saying Miller would be a slight improvement over Lehner is the understatement of the year. You have to be a homer drinking the koolaid to say something like that. Lenhner hasn't proven anything in thus league yet. I have no idea what the numbers are, and I am too lazy to look, but I would bet that Miller has more shutouts than Lehner has career starts. Only way that makes sense is if you look at it in a longterm situation and not just this year.
Saying Miller had no backchecking forwards or dmen who could play a 2:1 is disrespectful to the many good players he did have. Hecht, Grier and Pommer, even Gaustad and Kaletta were all very good defensive forwards and very responsible in their own zone. Neuminen(sp?), Lydman, Tallinder(first tour), Regehr, Ehrhoff were all solid defensively. Doesn't seem fair to put down all those players and simply give Vanek as an example to make your point.
Ren and Stimpy is not worth watching.
Tim Murray ruined the rebuild by overpaying for all his trades and should be fired before he does more damage. I could see him trading away McCabe and two second round picks for some more bottom six forward prospects. Or next years first for a goalie.
Go Sabres!
Eichel should want to show up big tonight against Crosby. I am expecting a big game from him.

As I refreshed the page .. the first thing that stood out in your whole post was "Ren and Stimpy is not worth watching"
I would rather binge on that than any of the reality crap they force on this generation the past few years.
The only problem myself and a most of the Miller haters on here had with him is his high priced contract. 4m and I would be fine with him staying .Nothing more.
As far as Tim overpaying ? We won't know till the team jells and we see some players not working out. Too soon too judge.
I agree Jack would want to show he is similar to the hype Sid got the first year in the NHL . I really hope he comes through with it.

Kane/Bogo and Lehner I agree.
Ryan O'Reilly I think has been excellent and will be a fixture on this team for years.
I honestly think people severely over rate Evander Kane. He has never been someone with a great scoring touch, or a good playmaker. He's a 2nd line power forward who is fun to watch play, but struggles with injuries. |
