Sure that hurts, but that spin o rama and terrible shot was a play that should have never happened. Dont try to do it yourself, your teammates are fully capable of handling a pass, and you'll probably get the puck back.

Jamie McGinn is no slouch. A few silly plays on his part this season, but he's been ayight. I think with the injuries, you put Eichel with ROR like last night and let these dudes give it a shot, Bylsma tried every other combo imaginable - keep Delauriers up there keep the peace, and the Ennis - Larsson - Mouson on the 2nd line. Or Foligno-Ennis at C-Moulson.

And put Eichel on PP1 already. What's there to lose?

Eichel is on the first unit, he is just on the point rather than up with the forwards

Murray wants Lehner to be the starter so I doubt we see any " big time goalie" come in. I don't agree with the Lehner trade but it's over with now.

I was never a fan of the Ottawa trade but in all fairness to Murray, it is way too early to call a winner/loser in that trade. Lehner has played all of 10 minutes in a real NHL game for the Sabres. Let's see how Lehner is playing after game 50 as a Sabre. If he develops into the #1 that Murray thinks he is, then many of us (myself included) will have egg on our face.

BTW, very impressed with the effort of the new look Sabres. As someone pointed out, they are missing 4 of their best players yet they put up 53 shots against a supposed powerhouse Penguins team. It's actually great to watch and enjoy Sabres games again. As long as they keep the effort up, the goals and wins will eventually come. If they move from 54 to 70+ points this year, I personally would consider the season a success. Plus it will likely guarantee us a top 5 pick and set us up nicely to contend for a playoff position next year.

Agreed, waiting for the days to get a 1st for gaustad dont happen often. I'm also not a huge fan of the trade but you have to give to get. Unfortunately injuries happen and allow people to judge the moves much too soon
