They might be better off chasing. If they blow a lot of 3rd period leads, why not try chasing and see if we can become like CGY from last year.
- Retinalz

If they are down by 3 in the 3rd most of us will turn it off, this way they keep us watching.

He was soft and has an annoying face. I'm glad he's gone.

Come on man, glad he's gone? The guy has 6 goals already tied for 5th in the league.. Although very early lol... He plays with his heart on his sleeve he probably already hit 6-7 goal posts as well.

The trade was awesome for us. Looks like you guys will get the best out of the Prust trade though. I miss him

...by default.

If the Canucks are not in the playoff picture at the deadline, look for him to be traded back for a 3rd. (You got a 5th in the Kassian Fiasco/trade)

Any updates on Kassian?

His career is essentially over, even if he manages to get released from Stage 2 Rehab, no team will ever trust him again. There's no chance he plays again this year at the very least and I've read that players that end up in Stage 2 Rehab generally don't get better because their problems are too deep to fix and being hockey players want to play instead of dealing with their issues.

To be honest I'm not even caring about the Kassian situation. I always loved Prust but I'm just going to think of that trade as a salary dump. And if Kassian ever returns and becomes a decent NHLer then it's a bonus.

Would love to have Prust in the lineup instead of Flynn though. That Byron guy from the flames has impressed me to though. Don't know much about him or why he was waived

Sad. Theo Flurey managed to get out for a while and back on the ice. What a shame.

I wonder if Kassian's "Back problems" that kept him out of the playoffs were a ruse.

Also Ironic that we lose a guy who smokes Crack and earn a guy named Cracknel.

Weise is a solid third/ fourth liner. The coaches running the team utilized him incorrectly.

I'm glad he's doing well in Montreal and shoving crow down the throats of the haters.

In his role here, he was soft and useless. He's not a goal scorer, he's a plug. Sure he's scored goals this year, but that's not going to continue. He's supposedly an energy guy, however he hits like a pillow, and doesn't scare anyone. He can't fight, which I guess in today's game doesn't matter much anymore. Did I mention his annoying face?

Weise did a great job in Vancouver getting in on the forecheck with his speed. He did well in fights against the guys in his weight class. Problem was that mgmt didn't have any guy to battle against the guys outside his weight class.

Just finished watching the game, PVR'd and finished the whole thing in under an hour, the game was actually bearable to watch.

End of October and the Canucks are in first place in the Pacific...

lol...chinless Weise? You are basically spot-on here. Weise is a career 4th liner who's having a bit of a lucky go. It won't continue. He was completely useless and ineffective here in the west regardless of how he was used. You had to know he was going to plug a few more goals in the east but that's pretty much where it's going to end. I'm happy he's having a bit of success there as he is an effort player and does try super hard...but ultimately his 4th line status will catch up to him.

People have been selling him short for his entire career. He has speed and comes to play every night

True his speed and effort level was never really in question. What was in question is how he looked vs the big heavy teams in the west...and it wasn't good.

Last year for the month of October the Canucks had 14 points, this year they also have 14 points....just food for thought.
