Last year for the month of October the Canucks had 14 points, this year they also have 14 points....just food for thought.
7-3-0 vs 5-2-4 - LeftCoaster
Too many loser points though...gotta fix that. |

Ducks next 5 games are huge. They could be knocked out of a PO spot. Nsh , Fla, CBJ SJ Ara.
They would need to be one of the best teams to recover 10 points over the 8 th place Hawks 10 th place Sharks |

Sedins are in a slump . Wait until they get going . They can slump all year as long as we make the playoffs and they come alive.
They are playing decent just not burying the puck yet. |

It's a totally different format now though…it's not comparable IMO. There was just enough time and space for the Canucks to be very successful at 4 on 4 but to much time and space for them to now be successful at 3 on 3.
If Willie continues to put the older players out there to try and defend against the speed of most other teams, the Canucks are going to continue to lose 3 on 3….just my opinion. |

That's a lot of games hey, compacted schedule makes a huge difference. Everything that could go wrong did that year. Thankfully….because it got us Jake "Big Country" Virtanen. |

And it got Kesler to want out which gave us McCann, Sbisa, and Bonino who with Bieksa got us Sutter.

I wonder how Nucker feels about Bob Murray right now?
Last year he said he was brilliant, best GM in the league, this year….not so much. |

They need to rethink their 3 0n 3. Sedins and Edler should be out against the top pair and try to maintain puck possession for about a minute. Then send out Horvat Hansen and Hutton followed by McCann and JV with Tanev Then Sutter Vrbata and Hamhuis when healthy. Repeat for 5 minutes |

Two regulation losses in 11 games is pretty good in my books. |

We also had a killer December under Torts. I think we were 3rd in the conference heading into January and the injury bug hit us hard. At one point in Jan/Feb under Torts we had 8 starters out of the lineup. As hard as Torts gets hit in the forums it wasn't all his fault...
We should actually thank him for McCann and Sutter/Sbisa and take that 2nd rounder and run... |
