vantell....from yesterdays post....Id include tryamkin in that 2016 D roster too.
If we don't have him here on the team we've probably lost him. He has the skills and the talent and is KHLs best D man. Bring him. - SMBDragon
Sorry are you suggesting that Tryamkin is the KHL's best D man or the Avtomobilist's best D-man ?
I doubt neither of those are even close to the truth. He is getting more ice time this year but there are a number of better players on his team let alone in the league.
Tryamkin might still be a NHLer but he still is a far from sure thing. |

What's everyone's take on Bartowski? Would you trade him at TDL or sign him 3 years < 2mil per? |

and Sbisa...
I am missing Corrado a bit after watching Sbisa and Bartkowski paired up.
I'd sign Bartkowski for 2 years max. I want some flexibility in having a spot in the bottom pairing to bring guys up from Utica.
Still want to see Biega play. |

I like that he can skate the puck but think he is best served as a 6-7 spot player.
I don't think that 2 mil is best served for a bottom 6 guy in an ideal world.
If you can't find a replacement for him, resign but not for 3 years and not for 2mil. |

We've got to keep in mind that this is a team with quite a few new parts. I feel like they have done pretty well. Really impressed and surprised with Burrows and Sutter, they have been leading the team IMO. - neem55
Totally agree, with so many changes to personnel, and the lack of NHL experience, I personally wasn't expecting this team to be as good as they are right now. I thought and still think that the canucks finish around the 20-25 placing depending on injuries.
Was I pissed that the blew another lead, at the time yeah, but upon reflecting in regards to personnel, I should be surprised they got to OT.
I think expectations should be tempered, and enjoy the team while they're over achieving. |

I did say under 2 mil but point taken.
I would prefer Benn myself but would not be disappointed if it was MB |

What is funny, is the results are bearable, if they play the youngsters. The speed they bring has often made the game more enjoyable.

Yup, I didn't read it very well,
But I don't think he is critical to this team but unfortunately there isn't much in the system. Can't imagine how bad we would be if Hutton didn't take a huge step forward.

I think Biega is close to ready. It's my opinion only but I don't hate our D |

I know Weber makes some bad plays out there, but he's the only decent D option for the powerplay besides Edler.
He played great last year beside Hamhuis, in a top 4 role, but ideally as a 3rd pairing guy / PP specialist, for under $2 mil I like him.
Bartkowski and Weber make a decent 6/7 combo, you can swap them into the lineup depending on the opponent, all for less than the price of a Spisa. |

I heard someone post game on the radio ponder, what if this is the Canucks hot streak?
Miller has played really well, Hutton, McCann, Prust, Sutter, Sbisa have all played better than most expected, statistically at least.
Burrows, Hansen, Sedins, Edler, Tanev, Hamhuis are performing how we expect.
The only disappointment really so far has been Horvat and Baertschi's play, which isn't really that surprising considering their age and peoples expectations.

I would like to see him get a shot again and would have no problem trying him over Weber or Bartkowski.
That said I don't think he will ever be a top 4 guy able to replace Hamhuis/Sbisa.
I don't hate the D either but think there isn't a lot to look forward to other than Edler/Tanev/Hutton.
Everything else is pretty meh, I do have hopes for Subban and from what I have seen and read he is fitting in well in Utica. |
