I heard someone post game on the radio ponder, what if this is the Canucks hot streak?

Miller has played really well, Hutton, McCann, Prust, Sutter, Sbisa have all played better than most expected, statistically at least.

Burrows, Hansen, Sedins, Edler, Tanev, Hamhuis are performing how we expect.

The only disappointment really so far has been Horvat and Baertschi's play, which isn't really that surprising considering their age and peoples expectations.

I don't think this is a hot streak at all. I think this is what you see is what you get. If it was a hot streak both Sedins and Vrbata would have 7 goals Hansen and Burrows 5 . This is pretty well what it is going to be like I think

I would like to see him get a shot again and would have no problem trying him over Weber or Bartkowski.

That said I don't think he will ever be a top 4 guy able to replace Hamhuis/Sbisa.

I don't hate the D either but think there isn't a lot to look forward to other than Edler/Tanev/Hutton.

Everything else is pretty meh, I do have hopes for Subban and from what I have seen and read he is fitting in well in Utica.

I think our biggest concern this offseason is D . We will have a lot of cap space , we need a PMD and a shut down guy.

I hope so as well and before the season started thought our results would be pretty much what we have seen. I do think we have been pleasantly surprised by a bunch of players results though and am hesitant to believe they will all keep it up.

What's everyone's take on Bartowski? Would you trade him at TDL or sign him 3 years < 2mil per?
- VANTEL

I would sign him for 2-3 years if the value is there. He has shown he has upside. Weber needs to go.

Totally agree, with so many changes to personnel, and the lack of NHL experience, I personally wasn't expecting this team to be as good as they are right now. I thought and still think that the canucks finish around the 20-25 placing depending on injuries.

Was I pissed that the blew another lead, at the time yeah, but upon reflecting in regards to personnel, I should be surprised they got to OT.

I think expectations should be tempered, and enjoy the team while they're over achieving.

I've come around to this way of thinking after the first 10 games and knowing what to expect. 3rd period leads are a problem but we have seen so much upside with McCann, Hutton and even JV. Now that Prust is out would like to see Gaunce stay up and get a little puck luck.

Horvat needs proper wingers and it needs to happen soon. Hate to say it but Hansen and Higgins may be his best option to succeed in his sophomore year. Baertchi - JV - Vrbata and a few others aren't meshing with Horvat. He needs some puck luck as well.

Although I'm not really ragging on WD like some, I think he has to realize leaning on the vets in the third is counter productive, both short- and long-term. If he was doing it and they were winning these third period led games, I could understand. But they aren't. They are starting to sit back, tire, and try to protect the lead. Have to keep the lines rolling and win the period too.

I fully agree rolling all your lines gets you the lead why stop ?

The leads are not the problem. Blowing them is.

Vrbata and a 2nd for Perry.

McCann has more goals than Crosby Perry Getzlaf and Kesler combined. Potential superstar

What is funny, is the results are bearable, if they play the youngsters. The speed they bring has often made the game more enjoyable.

I think it will be one of the best for sure. While I do like Jakes game and the fact that he's a home town kid living his dream, at the time I still would have taken Ehlers.

Jake and McCann two different players. Canucks need both types. I don't think we should be comparing one to the other. Two gaping needs were filled . I like them both

I use btguard, never had an issue. sync with azureus and can only connect when vpn is on. Never have to worry about anything. Some people complain that speed is an issue with btguard but I never notice it. I leave on 24/7. There are some other options though, reddit has a few threads on this with some supposed better alternatives but I can't comment as this is all ive used.
