The dude is simply trying to play like a player he isnt. Hes trying way to damn hard. Hes not a one man army. Hes gotta stop trying to rush up the ice solo. Hes got to simplify his puck handling. Hes making everything more complicated than it needs. Its making me sick as a fan having to keep watching him play like this. His funk is only going to go on longer before he gets his head out of his ass.
Brown real life game sucks worse than me playing NHL 16 on anything but Rookie mode. We both rush up the ice, struggle to maintain puck control and shoot at awkward angles. The only difference is my mistakes only cost $60.

What the hell is your point?.... It was knee on knee is that what you wanted to hear. I still want brown gone regardless of how reckless he can play. The guy can't score a goal of his life depended on it

What the hell is your point?.... It was knee on knee is that what you wanted to hear. I still want brown gone regardless of how reckless he can play. The guy can't score a goal of his life depended on it - KINGS67
He isnt even reckless anymore. That was like 2 or 3 years ago. He became ineffective even as a physical player after his hit on Pomminville.

Yeah inknow that was 3yrs ago...I still laugh when I think about that pominville hit.l though. Sure brown elbowed him but how it happened was not the usual elbowing call. From what I remember brown was up against glass and pominville went to hit him and brown threw out his elbow in "defense" but clearly making contact with the head of pominville

Sounds like the elbow/forearm Steen threw last night.
Dustin Brown has aged faster than other players in the league. If this was just an issue this year (like Corey Perry of the Ducks) I would say that it's just a puck luck. But three seasons in, not like that. Too bad. Even though a Ducks fan, I've always been a Dustin Brown fan. Plays hard and just on the right side of the line. I had some online arguments yesterday from some Kings fans arguing that the Kings don't win their two cups without his leadership and thus the Kings should keep him. I believe that Brown's best days are three years behind him. If the Kings want to continue being Cup contenders, they need to see what they can do to remove his $6m cap hit (that goes, I think through 2020 if not beyond). If he's not worth $6m now, he's certainly not going to be worth it in a few more years.

I know I'm just being a broken record, but I can not stand brown. I hate when he is on the ice. The guy thinks he's 20 and can do his famous pull and drag move (that never ever EVER works) and then tries to skate around that same defender losing the puck 99% of the time. Kopitar is usually skating with him on the rush just waiting for that dip doodle brown to pass it to him in the slot

Posted this on another thread but it goes here too. Last night: I counted AT LEAST 8 shifts where he fumbled a puck trying to skate and puck handle at the same time, or just out right left the puck on the ice and skated away without it. he took 24 shifts according to the box score, so at least 1/3 of them died on (or off of) his stick... It is so irritating to watch him out there.
Brown was exceptionally bad last night. Killed plenty of PP momentum, simply lost the puck off his stick at least 4 times, shift after shift he just punishes his linemates. I wish he would just be healthy scratched for a few games.

No, my point is that several key moments in the 2012 Cup run (before which, you you wanted him gone), especially Game 3 versus Vancouver, were directly or indirectly tied to Dustin Brown. He was a huge part of that first Cup win.

I couldn't tell the future that the Kings were going to win the cup that year. So, at the deadline, I wanted him gone. If it weren't for that cup would he still be on the team? We'll never know

To me, the problem wasn't Brown, it was the extension given to him. He's not a $6M/year player.
