Let's try this again.
How many players need to make the NHL as a regular out of those drafts for you to think that it was a success? - belcherbd
Depends. Two top 10 drafts should give you two useful quality players... Gillis was .500 there. Late 1st round gets iffier... so how do you just come out with a one dimensional number to argue success. If it wasnt as bad as we thought... then things are better than we think now.
So far we have Horvat on our team as a regular, Hodgson trying to save his career after a buy out already... and some call ups on a couple other picks but no regular spot. Thats with 6 selections not to mention the 1st he traded away with Grabner and then bought out the asset after the giant fail. You would think we would be getting more out of the 1st round(or in trades) for the seven 1st round picks passing through his hands for it to be a success.
I'm strictly talking about the 1st round. There were other picks and of course the college players that made up for the 1st round short comings.Sucking in the 1st round so many times surely handicaps your team down the road.

Good luck refraining for that long; I don't think I'll be able to survive 5 minutes of ice time. |

I don't think they're slow, I think the rest of the team is faster than we have ever seen. |

Bartowski sure looks like Hamhuis's replacement. I sure hope we re-sign him. |
