I have a steep metal roof. It more or less is a ski jump any time it's not dry.
I have a lot of experience with framing, roofing, some sheet metal work. I do it all myself.
The last thing I want to do is hire strangers up here to access my property. Once you get in behind my house there are all kinds of hidden treasures that anyone can simple steal unseen when I'm not around. You can only see part of my house from the road. Cut the chain on my gate and drive away with a jet boat, 2 quads, camper, another smaller outboard on custom weld fly fishing punt and a shed full of fishing gear. I have a couple of good chain saws and a lot of power tools.
I keep the fly rods in the house. I'll never replace most of those for the prices I managed when our dollar was on par and I found suppliers who were clearing in the US. Rods that go for a grand up here were in my hand for $350. Same with reels... - boonerbuck
Invest in a hook ladder, particularly if you want to do the work yourself.
It's common up here. Tradesmen who may or may not have drug problems casing out rips while they do contract work. I'm in between dogs right now... so I've been paranoid when away from the house. I had rotty's for the last 20 years but losing the last one has been hard on me. Still have a hard time talking about it let alone shopping for a replacement.

Vrbata, Hamhuis and Gaunce (canucks eat 50% of Hammer and Vrbata contracts for Fowler and Ritchie - Bieksa#3
At first i laughed to myself...that's a lot of older/expiring contracts.
But...Ana was likely going to go all in this year.
But they suck so far.
And they would be giving up 2 young blue chippers.
Nah.
They could probably do better than that offer.
Great deal for Vancouver though. The youth movement would def. be in full effect.
On the topic of drug problems. They were saying on the news today that the Senate won't let Trudeau legalize marijuana. Apparently(just from the report) impaired driving is on a record rise in Colorado. So they were saying until they find a way to do a road side test and monitor it, that the Senate won't allow it.
Are impaired driving incidents rising in Washington as well? - Bieksa#3
It's so hard to trust reports even though this is very likely seeing people will go out and probably will be more exposed to a joint being passed around. It's as simple as the police going from being lenient and making reasonable judgement calls to being ordered to be extra vigilant and have zero tolerance. Incident go through the roof. They play this game both ways with anything they want... specially before elections when they will stop prosecuting people for crimes and report how much the crime rate went down under current policies.
THC stays so long in the bloodstream that any road test is not going to determine that you are stoned at that very moment. I got a 24h once based on some scent that wasnt even on me. The cop said you can get this reversed if you submit a urine test result and you will only pass if you havent had even second hand smoke for 30 days. He laughed at me because he knew he was screwing with me. He is right.
They should worry more about how many people are driving on Doctor prescribed drugs. Thats all fine tho... people on pain killers... still stoned on the way to work after taking sleeping pills 5 hours earlier... it's crazy how many times I witness people doing this. They tell me they are used to it... all systems go... ya, just like the pot heads and drunks think... anytime you need a opiated cat nap at a red light can't be good.

I have one. Getting up there is fine. I have to leave the ladder to repair the roof and have to take a bunch of stuff up there. If someone is here to call an ambulance if I fall off, then I usually take all the risks. Laying down there with a broken back freezing to death overnight sounds lonely.
I don't get the Bart love. I mean he's meh. A decent #6. But no more. I've seen lots of people talk about a long term contract. Guy makes a lot of mistakes - Bieksa#3
I'm satidfied with him as a bottom pair player but I'm in no rush to lock him up. Depth isnt difficult to find.
I read on the web the other day that a report indicated that driving while high didn't cause significant impairment - docmorgan
If you have ever drove anywhere after smoking a joint you probably asked yourself... why am I driving under the speed limit or why am I being so cautious... or why am I all of sudden holding the wheel with two hands... the biggest risk is desperately digging around for munchies 30 min later...
Drunks drive aggressive and pill munchers have no clue whats going on around them...

Even cold medication is just as bad as pain killers, how many people go to work having taken Neo-Citran or something of that ilk and don't realize they're actually impaired. I drive from Maple Ridge to Richmond daily and Jesus, the amount of long haul truckers I have to try and avoid who're hopped up on caffeine, doughnuts and pills is amazing. Not to mention the fact that they're all Chinese or South Asian having paid money for licenses without taking the proper tests.

I just realized that Weise is in his contract year, he's going to get a big long contract and then turn back into Dale Weise. He'll be known as the $4mil 4th liner.

To the Leafs? They seem to miss Clarkson. How are Weise's water bottle protection skills? Would he take a bullet?
I've seen wolf tracks as close as 50m from my back field in the spring. I hear them several times a winter on the hills not far away. I'm more worried about mountain lions around here. There was tracks in my driveway only last winter. Since I have no dog around now, they are using my driveway to get to the deer at the back of my property.

Weise is pretty good for a bottom 6. He cant keep up this pace... if he does... he deserves a good raise like anyone. He's shown up strong in the playoffs as well. It's not like he's useless and he's not at all soft like Scoob claims. He just can't fight his way out of a wet paper bag without leading with his over sized face...
