I've seen wolf tracks as close as 50m from my back field in the spring. I hear them several times a winter on the hills not far away. I'm more worried about mountain lions around here. There was tracks in my driveway only last winter. Since I have no dog around now, they are using my driveway to get to the deer at the back of my property.

In the interior,,, hunters from Vancouver Island seem to be the most threatening things in the woods.... but thats only in the fall

I am not a fan , but Weise does work well in MTL for some reason. He should sign long tem there and finish his career where he is revered in the same iconic level as Poutine .

On a bit of a side-note, I've been really pleased with the way Hansen has played thus far. It seems like whenever he is on the ice he is making a good play or creating something out there. The guy has incredible wheels and a great work ethic - it's too bad he doesn't have just a little bit more skill, as he would be a lock for 25-30 goals per year. Still, it looks like he is going to be in that 20+ goal range and continue to wreak havoc out there on the PK. Another 'unsung' hero year for the Honey Badger

apparently, there is a Canuck stank that while a player is with the Canucks, their value is diminished, and the stank lingers over that player... once the player leaves Vancouver, it is as though they have been given a hand up and out of this sh!t hole and their magical hockey sense and finish blossoms as they move further east.

I honestly think NHLPA is a huge brotherhood that looks out for their fellow players. Have you ever noticed that in the contract year every player plays better. If giving Wiese 15 goals this year is going to get him paid and in turn drive the players share up then why wouldn't some goalies let in some suspect goals in mean nothing games. The same player would try the same thing in the non contract year and it is a save.
It might be a little too late in the week for a Tuesday post but it is something to think about.
I don't think that the players play that much harder in the contract year but their numbers are through the roof.
