Not under any false pretenses about the Islanders actually being interested in him. But I'd happily take him on this roster. |

He's a Kings fan, he probably didn't even pay attention to hockey until a few years ago |

Oh great let him come to the Islanders, one of the poorest coached teams in the league. I'm sure he'll love the fact that they play hard for a shift and then take four shifts off. No consistency whatsoever and it's all because of how their coached and what they're allowed to get away with.Even JT gets some of the blame, his decision-making on the power play last night was abysmal. I swear I think he has them skating around cones and practicing stops and starts. |

It wouldn't be far off from his Avalanche system. Roy has them taking the first 55 minutes on easy pace, it keeps Iggy fresh.
It also doesn't produce any points towards the standings but hey...let's keep trying it! |

We all got to start somewhere, right? How long have you been a fan of the Habs? Or, should I've asked How many years have you stupidly wasted on being a Habs fan? Two decades of craptastic hockey, right? Yeah, that make's you the "smart" one |

Don't lump all LA fans together now... Not really sure what he was talking about with Iginal. He would be a massive upgrade over that player that we call Dustin Brown |

Now Now...he's a little long in the tooth dept but you can't follow hockey very closely to not know if he's in the league.
29 goals last year in today's NHL is really not all that bad, in fact it's top 20 (even if most of them came in garbage games leading up to their lottery pick). - Fols19

that's exactly what we need, another rental that won't sign with the kings to mail it in for the rest of the season for upwards of 5 mill... only thing I could see is dumping Brown's fail sauce covered a$$ for Iginla.
I can see your concern, it is a big one. But, Iginla is excellent at both ends of the ice, smart player, is in excellent shape and here is what a lot of people overlook...he is hungry. Still no Stanley Cup to compliment his gold medals.
As far as the rental goes, it would be worth it for another cup run. This is not a guy that phones it in some games, he's a true competitor. Take advantage of that fire he still has left. The desire for him to get a cup keeps him competitive, he's wasting away in Colorado.
I think he would be worth it for the Kings. |

Granted I don't live up on top of Mount Saint Hockey with you and all the other elite pundits and fans in Montreal, but I did play the sport for 12 years and have been a kings fan for 27 years. None of this may carry any credence with you because I was born and raised in the hockey atrocity state of sunny southern California, but I assure you I have been a Kings fan longer than your dismissive, lame a$$, ignorant comment stated...
