Legwand has been good for what they ask him to do. He's created a lot more chances than I thought he would, he's not a turnover machine(he's got 0 giveaways), he's only -3 and wins 51% of his draws in his 9:30 of ATOI. Gionta hasn't been great, but he's far from brutal. Weber has been brutal, he turns the puck over at an astonishing rate, and Gorges has been somewhere in the middle.

I think good is a pretty strong word for Legwand so far. I don't hate him as the 4th line center at all, but this team could probably have 1 or 2 more wins if the vets buried a few of the chances they have had. Legwand also took 2 penalties today

i just wish it was a healthy one. I cant wait to see this team on all cylinders. Its scary to think what our team will be like when we can replace guys like weber with bogo, give kane top line minutes, and no more chad johnsons - gerbe42
Like you said, we're looking at another 05-06 team.
The only thing dumb about signing Moulson is length of contract. That money could be better spent as soon as next year. - buffalofan19
Disagree
We needed a decent Vet like Moulson at the time we signed him
Also, he prob doesn't sign if we don't give him that long of a deal
Maybe, we'd like that $$$ next year for someone else...
But we aren't going to be a Cap team just yet
We'll have plenty of space for whoever Murray might wanna sign or trade for
The Cap won't be an issue until we have to give Eichel a new deal
Then we might be getting up there bc Ennis, Kane & Risto will have just signed new deals
Moulson is a decent player for us, and will be the next couple seasons as well
As long as he gets back to 20+ goals (I think he will),
Then I'm totally ok with the signing

If that length of a contract was a deal breaker then they should have done what good teams do, find another option.
