Fair enough but how much conversation can you really have about how great eichel is? A couple of "agreed" posts then *crickets*
- Sabresfan-365

Reinhart is coming into his own very nicely.

Foligno is actually becoming dare I say it consistent?

McCabe played a team high in minutes.

Pysyk was really good.

I just hate that it becomes negative too quickly all the time.

If Kane can start finding the back of the net we have him already....I know that's a big if...but we don't necessarily have to bank on the draft..

..and that's a good feeling

On that note:

Have for quite a while, today was not his best day defensively, particularly the first period. And I have to wonder how much of that is coaching style (aggressive) and how much is gorges.

Edit: We won, but played poorly, especially in the first. Good on Ullmark for keeping us in there but the criticism is deserved.

This is not the 83 Islanders or the 77 Canadiens. This is a team and an organization in transition and players are gonna have bad shifts and the team will play lackluster at times. They've made measureable improvements this year, in part due to coaching. Enjoy it. I've lived through every season since it's inception and I enjoy watching these kids grow.

I think 2 hours after the six buffalo wins this board has turned into a b*tch fest about certain players or Bylsma. When this team has their 05/06 breakout season a lot of those people will be still immersed in the negative.

This is a fun season. People should enjoy it because it's the last one without expectations.

Not bad. I shot 83 the other day, just a few more days left in the season.

Any birdies in the round?

Im happy they won. Does that somehow make Moulson's contract better or worse though? The conversation really didn't have much to do with the game itself.
- Sabresfan-365

It's just a little odd that Moulson has the crosshairs on him. He's been on 3rd line a pp for most of the season. Has 4 goals, one off the team lead. I think he's been fine.

I have and will continue too, doesn't mean we can't have other conversations though. You were at the forefront of complaint when it came to the teams goaltending even though the other 18 skaters were playing very well. I respect the growth and transition this team will be going through this year, but that doesn't mean any and all criticism should be put on hold because of it.

It's not like they were great today. If not for Ullmark and some poor decision making from the canucks the game would've gone a completely different way. Im happy they won but i won't pretend like it was a great performance, most of the players said as much during the post game scrum.

I think the crosshairs are there because the decline has been noticeable (from when we first got him) and the contract has people (including me) a little worried.

fair point. And yes I, like many here did not like the Lenner trade and the goaltending (Johnson) and I sure hope I'm wrong. IMO the positives out weigh the negatives. The team is 6-8 and I see good things. And I like Ullmark.

It's one year longer than I'd like but I see him scoring 20+ for the duration of it. Put him with Eichel or ROR and 25-30 is in his range. He's still good in front of the net even if 30 goals is a stretch now

They do, especially by comparison to last year. Im glad the female doging is about him and not one of the "building blocks", that's good news. My point on Moulson was more about the future than now but that's not enough of a concern for me to give up on this team or not appreciate all the good stuff that's happened. Ditto Gorges

Has he not spent most of his time this year with those guys though? I hope he can keep up at that range because if it goes bad getting rid of that deal will be very difficult.

He has barely played with Eichel and not much with ROR. Mostly has played with guys like Girgs or Larsson and maybe Reinhart. Probably only averaging 14-15 minutes but still has produced offensively.

That's it , Buy him out than take him out and shoot him. He was the right player for us at the right time. No one expected 30 a year from him if they knew hockey. But he is being a good mentor to all our young guys and helping them become pros. It is worth a couple Million a year just how he has taken Eichel in. He has never not done what is asked of him . And we will not be in Salary cap hell because of his deal. The cap will be going up folks. New Government in Canada is making Cdn dollar rebound and new deal with Major league baseball for the net,

Some folks just want Misery even if they have to invent it.
