As much as I hate to say it, unless some other teams completely fall apart, I don't see this team making the playoffs. Unless they continue to get the type of goaltending that Neuvirth is giving them right now, and that would be pretty tough to sustain, I just don't see it happening.

Thanks Bill. Any updates on Umby, and MDZ? Both went off the ice, and then came back on; MDZ was already mentioned in another post.
The other team is getting way too many quality shots, and we are turning the puck over like a hot spud. I don't understand why that they are making so many high risk passes when they didn't during that 4-2 stretch.
And then, there is the Manning factor. I get it that we wanted to give him a shot for being in the system so long, but I don't think that it's working out. Is there any news on Medvedev, and his return?

As do I, but I'm, at least at this point, more interested in the development of the prospects and in acquiring more picks than I am with the current on ice product. Honestly, if the choice is barely squeaking into the playoffs and getting smoked in the 1st round vs. missing the playoffs and getting a lottery pick, I'll take the latter.

Solid goaltending like Neuvirth has been providing is giving the team life and if last night is any indication 93 and 28 will be rackin up the points soon. Best game of the season for the power play. The Jets are a good team and hard to beat. I know it is early but it sure looks like we have a new number one goaltender in Philly.
