Bill what is your opinion on Stolarz development so far? Is he someone Flyers fans can start becoming excited about as a future bright spot in net? |

I understand those who would like to see Couturier score more, but he's a really good player, and he makes a difference when he is in the lineup. Couturier is not a player who is going to carry a line offensively, he just isn't that kind of player. Hopefully in the future the Flyers will upgrade their skill level, and find the right players to play with Couturier. |

Not Bill, but Stolarz has had a great start to this season for the Phantoms. Really impressive stats, and the folks who cover the team on Twitter all rave about how solid he's been |

I also am puzzled by the Couturier criticism.
He is really the only player on the team consistently winning puck battles, all over the ice. When he gets the puck along the boards it is very hard to take it away from him. His play leads to prolonged cycles and chances. If he had a scoring winger he would likely be a 40-45 assist per year player.
Speaking of which I'd get Brayden Schenn on his RW as soon as possible.
Maybe it's time to try Gagner on the 1st line LW too. He knows how to shoot the puck and seems to get open a lot. They'd lose some of Raffl's two way play but I think he would flourish with G and Jake. - Marc D
gagner couldn't be any worse than raffl |

Puzzled? I'm absolutely stupefied. Flyers are night and day with Couturier in the line up. Yes it'd be great if he could provide more offense, but when he's out there, the Flyers are generally driving play. - Jsaquella

There was some 18year old dude at the game yesterday with a Lecavalier flyers jersey.
Didn't know if I should speak to him. |
